3rd quarter has been their Achilles heel. Next twelve minutes will be make or break for Spurs, I mean the Spurs.
Yeah, I'd be shocked if the Hornets manage to come back and win this game. San Antonio is putting them away. Hooray for boring Basketball.
ugh. Damn Spurs. Just saw the game, without knowing the score...and damn...well...at least it's easy deciding who to pull for in the western conference final
[my internal monologue, from the end of the draft lottery to now] OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG[/internal monologue] I was shaking. I still can't believe it. He's coming home! P.S. Don't screw this up Paxson.
^^^^Unbelievable!!! Congrats, da Bulls truly "won" the lottery. You give hopes to similar teams, like my Warriors, who every season seem to either grab a low seed in the playoffs or the 9th-12th pick in the draft.
Last year I knew the first 7 or 8 picks or something, but this year I havent followed college basketball at all. So who is this guy Greddy?
I'll respond in more detail when I have some more time, but I'm heading out to a White Sox game in a minute. For now I'l leave you with a post that I made in May of 2006, in the old random discussion thread Here's a newer vid of him in high school ...and at the University of Memphis
If by choke, you mean carry his team to the national championship game before being beaten by a better team, then yes.
Kansas wasn't necessarily the better team, it was Memphis choking on their clutch free-throws that really killed them.
just watched game 1 without knowing the score...loved it. were probably watching the whole series like this, although I'm showing major withdrawl symptoms cause I'm not able to check sites like deadspin and cnnsi during the day, sites I normally check about, oh say, every 15 minutes
I wonder how all the Laker haters on this board are feeling right now?? I will now open the floor to further mindless hateration...
I have always followed the NBA off and on, and I'm a huge fairweather fan, and why wouldnt I be, of course basically, for the past years I've been rooting for any team to beat the Spurs. The Suns, the Hornets this year. I watched the Lakers a lot during their 3 title run, so I'm all for them to finish the Spurs And i'm all for Kobe playing like he did during the second half in game 1. Damn.
