I think half the Lebanese national team got banned for match fixing in an international match against Qatar and some players playing abroad got suspended, even referees who were set to officate in the AFC Cup got suspended.

Think is more of an appointment based on reputation rather than recent success.
Year after year he bounces from club to club, nation to nation. What's to say in 12 months time Kuwait will be starting all over again in a search for another coach

He did a very good job with Iraq by winning the Asian Cup in 2007, but after that he didn't achieve anything.

He is fired by Yosef Kargar who is serving as the Deputy Head of AFF too. Ali Jawad Attayee is coaching Afghanistan in the SAFF while Kargar will continue to train the team and will be with the team in Nepal.

Some reports say Zavisa, Pakistan Serbian coach, is sacked after 3-0 defeat of his team in hands of Afghans.

FAM has now denied it, accusing media sources of rumour mongering. It all comes down to whether we can find another white guy who's willing to work on lower wages than Urbányi.

It's hard for them to see the beautiful side of Maldives as they'll be doing most of their work in Male', the capital, which is by some records the most densely populated piece of land in the world. To be fair to the previous coaches, they have always put a lot of dedicated effort in improving the team (apart from the Argentine crook Andreas Cruciani, whose ill-fated reign has been forcibly erased from the memories of Maldivian supporters). Unfortunately our football association haven't always given them the proper support. We can bring world-class coaches and appoint them at the helm, but that lot who control our football remain clueless and use their deep pockets to keep themselves and like-minded individuals at those lofty positions.
