NASL Supporter's Shield

Should there be recognition for the best team in the league( not including the play off season) in the form of a "Supporter's Shield"?

Yes, there should be. And is.

oooh on a slightly different note the NASL should have a sort of community shield as the first regular season match for next year. The playoff champion vs. the regular season champion.

The trophy given out for the playoffs is much bigger, that's just for the regular season. The supporters shield in MLS is tiny too.

Nope, that's the real thing, and it was ridiculous. As happy as the Carolina guys were, there are a couple of photos where you can see openly confused faces looking at the trophy.

This season NASL called the Railhawks their "Regular Season Champion," and that's the language I'd like to see retained moving forward. Here's to hoping they get this sorted out for next season ... when is that sanctioning announcement coming again?
