I cannot wait to see that NY/SA match. And what would the Cosmos fans do if the Scorpions actually won the game.

I say bring it on. Hopefully it is the ESPN game of the week.

I'm really looking forward to this weekends match in Edmonton.

Last season they were a tough test in both encounters (1-1 D at Edmonton) (1-1 Draw @ New York Cosmos).

With the major upgrades up top for the NY Cosmos I anticipate wins in most matches going forward, but this one is still sketchy to me for some reason.

That'd be a better aim point, I'll give you that. We wouldn't want to completely overshoot the target by factoring in our extensive experience against MLS teams. We're not big on wasting effort on those that don't deserve it.

I'll also reserve judgement on your performance until you know, you actually do something in the competition.

I play the hand dealt ... or in your case, on the level of my opponent. See above for effort and such.

You may get your wish, and see it on espn. I think it's the better game that week, 'cause they know Cosmos will score in bunches.

For arguments sake I'd like to keep it at head to head match ups, don't you think that's the best way to compare the two clubs?

What, common opponents don't work for you ? Because you know, both being NASL clubs and all there's certainly much more than just head to head to work with.

This is the rivalries thread guy ... figure it out.

I'll tell you what works for me. Cosmos beating scorpions twice last year and doing it again this year!
    Now figure THAT out...... guy.

But of course we only played half the season so those two losses don't count.... Scoobysnack math!

    ... typical CosmLOLs fan ....

No, you definitely beat us twice .... you're just shallow/empty champions, that's all.

What, exactly is shallow/empty about us ? I'd love to hear that one.

Of course, thank you for exhibiting EXACTLY what I was referring too :sneaky:

We'd probably get on with our lives and just deal with the fact we'd win the league by 3 less points this season.

Not so sure that if SA gets the 3points in NY that the Cosmos win the Spring. In fact I would bet against it. Cosmos would still have the meat of their schedule ahead of them. Although the NASL seems to have done the Cosmos a favor by having home games against Indy, mini U and SA. But the Rowdies on the road will be a tough win.

If SA does get the W. I think that the Cosmos could end Spring with at least 2 losses.

But of course both SA and NY should fear the silverbacks because they are the better team.. ;)

As one of the only Bytown Boys on this forum, I would like to say, welcome to Ottawa, FC Deadmonton :)

We have a Voyageurs Cup match tomorrow, or what is also known as the Canadian Championships.

Hmm, why not just call it the Canada Cup or something.

Is there even a cup involved, I just assumed the winner gets a bottle of maple syrup.

Oh wait is this where we enter the pee wee Herman zone? You my fiend are what is known as a broken record.... If it weren't for the Cosmos you wouldn't have a reason to post because let's be real here no one is really into the Scoobysnacks.

Is there any FC Deadmonton fans out there?

That said I am looking forward to seeing Ottawa in their home and not the small place that the Fury have to play in the Spring.

    Our attendance says otherwise.

It's not that I'm a broken record ... it's that kicking the CosmLOLs dog is fun. Kicking is repetitious yes ... but we've been over the whole effort and who is worthy of it bit already.

You are far removed from reality, mental health is a complicated thing... Carry on with you parallel universe. Just remember it won't change results on the field.
