I think the title says it all but at the end of the day we are the REAL champs of Italy. I think it was really appropriate that Napoli beat Juve on the final game of the calendar to put things into perspective. Yes they did win the scudetto, but they were only playing in one competition with a bloated padded squad. I think if Juve had some CL duty this year, they would have came up short. This game should serve as a reminder of what happens when the field is even on both sides

Also Juve's front office released a statement saying that even though they did not win the coppa italia, they will still print the coppa emblem on their 2013 kit to go along with their 3 stars.

Is this kit real (stars or no stars)??

The way Giuve is trying to expolit the tricolor flag is just disgusting.

Anyway, fully deserved win by Napoli and serves Giuve (especially their president) right for all the bullshit they've been spewing for the last 2 weeks.

One flukey scudetto thrown away by another team and the arrogance is already beyond Moggi-era levels.

Good post. If 2012 was the scudetto year, then 2013 will be the year of the reality check for Juve

Im new here but a long time follower of Serie A, among other leagues.

I don’t have a favorite team in Italy, but iv followed juve pretty close.

First of all I wanna say im happy to not have seen another inter-roma final haha, joking.

After watching Napoli play a really good first half versus the serie A winners, I wondered if they too would finish the game regretting they had not concluded opportunities in the early going, much like B.M. vs. Chelsea in the CL final. But they got the job done.

I’ve watched the serie A season as a whole and Napoli`s CL run, and I have to say that as a neutral observer of today’s game, with regards to the comments expressed by indestructible, I agree on all fronts.

I watched Napoli in the CL. They were the real cinderella story not Apoel.
They played par with the finalists Chelsea and Bayern when they met these teams in the competition.

I rate Napoli as the better team attacking wise, player for player, Cavani-Hamsik-Lavezzi-Pandev better than Matri-Quagliarella-Vucinic-Borriello. Even with Del Piero Juve, Napoli is above them.

I honestly think that if Napoli was not in the CL they would have done a lot better in serie A. They always play the same players and look tired. I remember the big 3-3 comback by Juve, they played with a lot of heart, but the reality is that Napoli just deteriorated, showing fatigue from the European competition.

I guess today, on a neutral field, in a game that mattered, for a trophy, after both teams didn’t have to worry about other competitions and had a full rest, we got to judge who is the better team between the two.

The whole point of playing the game in China is to promote calcio.

These juventus guys flaunt the tricolore, but they only care about themselves.

    This is an outrage

This thread is funny. I didn't know you had to only play 5 games to become Champions of Italy!!!

A shame that the Champions of Italy aren't playing in the Champions League.

It is a shame and a tragedy in fact.

As for Juve, cyclops Marotta better make sure that you guys spend another 60 million on the mercato because as it stands Juve are a solid team, but there are no game changers on the squad. 2013 will be the year of the "rude awakening" for Juventus

Yeah, a shame the don't let teams that finish in fifth place into the Champions League.

I'll wait until 2013 to worry about what happens then, heck I'll wait until the transfer seasons over to start. It's a good ways away.

Looking forward to watching Juve play against the likes of Man City, Barca, Real and co. ....whole other ball game when your not playing against teams like Lecce, Novara and Cesena...best of luck ur gonna need it

And yet you're still not in the Champions League, a shame you didn't beat the champions of italy during the season though, maybe it could have helped you get those points you needed to get there. Still, I guess 1 out of 6 points isn't so bad.

Juve stepped it up against the bigger teams this season. It was the Cesena's, Lecce's and Novara's that gave us more trouble than the Inter's, Roma's, Milan's and Napoli's.

You always enjoy the wins more in tournament football...and the loses burn that much more...thats the beauty of tournament football...anyway youll soon find out.

Well looks like when you look at the season as a whole Coppa + Serie A, we won the rivalry, like every other year under the de laurentiis command

Yup, Juve's foray into Champions League football is a new path we're blazing. It's amazing, we've never played in Europe before. I'm so excited.

I'd rather have this on the shirt any day of the week (and we did it by taking 4 out of 6 points against you)...

Wow, such a shitty thread. Yeah, you won a match, then you are Champions of Italy. Wow. It doesn't count Juve had gone 38 matches unbeaten... no. They won a match therefore they're the best. Now who's the ridicolous?
