The maddest I ever saw Nani was the game vs Belenenses. When he side checked the one guy to the ground and acted like he did nothing wrong.
Sorry Joel I looked on youtube but nobody posted it yet.Give it a while. It happened like in the 85th minute if im not wrong.
Looks like this one will probably be consumated in the next day or so: http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/noticia.php?div_id=1457&id=815286
If SCP don't get 20 Million I will be very dissapointed. SCP are not a "Farm Team" for anyone, so if Teams want our players they should pay the Buy out clause. If Soares Franco is dumb enough to say he wouldn't sell off any of the young talent and then do it, he had better get the exact amount or there will be hell to pay.
some more papers reporting it http://diariodigital.sapo.pt/news.asp?section_id=127&id_news=278656 http://www.abola.pt/nnh/index.asp?op=ver¬icia=122619&d=1&tema=4 http://www.record.pt/noticia.asp?id=746661&idCanal=24
Official position as stated by the club is the following: "Nani will only leave the club if he excercises his buy out clause" His current contract expires in 2008 and the buy out clause is 20 Million Euros. Pay Up or Shut Up!
I think two options can occur here A) ManU pay the full buyout (20 mill euros) and he goes to ManU next year B) ManU pays 15 million Euros and loans him back to Sporting for one more year I am hoping for option B as it would be great to see Nani leave Portugal will the Liga title plus he will get CL experiance starting with Sporting as well
I'd be very suprised if we loaned him back if we bought him. As I mentioned before, we need a winger badly. We wouldn't be buying him for fun.
http://tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=41619 http://portugoal.net/Sporting0607/United-To-Seal-Nani-Capture.htm just two articles i saw on the subject although tribalfootball is not the most reliable portugoal.net usually is and it has quoted ABOLA in its article as well ill search for more articles as they come on the subject
If Man Utd does indeed buy Nani, there will no chance that he will be loaned back to Sporting immediately. You don't spend up to €20 million and loan him back to that club right away. Besides, from the looks of things Man Utd need him now anyways...
While Sporting has not yet confirmed the news on their website, Manchester United has: http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={B4CEE8FA-9A47-47BC-B069-3F7A2F35DB70}&newsid=431947 Since it is no longer a rumour, this thread is done. We can talk more about it in the transfers thread...
