Quick note to everyone apologizing for last weekend's mess. We didn't know the DC Police were going to shut down a two block radius around the Exchange. Personally, I was pretty upset at the situation ... as I was looking forward to watching the game with you all. Also wanted to let you know that apparently, after weeks of trying to pick a date, Sports Talk 980 and DC United are having a Season Kick-off Party here tomorrow night. Bram Weinstein will be here as well as two players (identities yet to be revealed to me, anyway) tomorrow starting at 6. Apparently there will be giveaways and fun stuff along those lines. If anyone has any questions - feel free to give me a call at The Exchange tomorrow. - Beth
No need to apologize. We were really looking forward to watching the game at the Exchange and were more miffed about the loss of revenue you good folks would incur. As most of the hardcores will be at game Saturday, tomorrow sounds like a lot of fun. Hopefully we can do the next away game down there and help you recoup some of those losses.
What Chico said. It seemed to me that there were a lot of us who were planning on going down to the Exchange, and we all got caught off guard and had to scramble for alternatives at the last second. The Exchange lost some good revenue, and the fans lost the chance to celebrate the start of the season in a great bar. I really hope that DCU and the Exchange will be able to team up and do parties throughout the season.
Would it be bad if Dave and I watched the Caps game while we're there? (Otherwise I can go home and suffer). K

No worries. And I do root for DC United - whenever they aren't playing the Galaxy. West Coast transplant and all that... I've been to a few DC United / US Nats things at The Exchange, and I always have a good time. Hope to see you guys tonight?
Not your fault XChange, I was trying to get down there to watch the game and had to turn back home. I did make it there one other time for a nats game and had a great time. Don't worry - I'll be there for the next away game. -The Far Side

Update Thanks for everyone's understanding! Now to answer a few questions: 1. Caps game will be on. I am a huge hockey fan, so if I'm here, which I will be, you can count on it. Please don't hold it against me that I'm celebrating the NJ Devils first round playoff win last night. But I will be cheering for the Caps tonight. 2. We have Guinness. I've just checked the keg and I believe we're getting another delivered today. ;-) 3. If you still need directions, please give me a call or use mapquest. Our address is 1719 G Street, NW. We're two blocks away from the Farragut West Metro stop and one block away from the Old Executive Office Building. 4. I don't know if WTEM will be broadcasting.
