Maybe I expressed myself weird, but I would be quite happy if he signed. It would only be a shame from his perspective since we would probably "ruin" him by limiting him to a wing position and not giving him the freedom to express himself.
ESPN saying Dzeko's NT boss has said he sould make a move in the summer. ESPN is crap, and who knows what the player thinks, but its quite possible he will move on at some stage. He will face stiff competition for a spot there in the future, and will likely find PT scarce. I always thought City was a bad fit for him, and he would be screwed over sooner or later, which is a shame because I quite like him. Assuming Berba and Owen are going we will need a 4th striker. We could have Kiko fill it, and the need for a 4th striker is not particularly high. If Dzeko is on the market and could be had for reduced fee or salary, would anyone be interested? He does offer something different to what we have now in terms of striker options. And he has not had a fair go at City to either showcase his current ability, or develop further.
Would definitely be interested in Dzeko. Would be foolish to turn down another player who could hit 25+ goals for us in all comps. But yeah, not happening.
What method will the Hazard or Die suicide cult be using to take their lives en masse after the transfer window opens ?
I was watching the highlights for the football League and Fergie was there watching the kid Nick from Crewe. I have never heard of them, I just remember Alex being there at the game checking him out.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11679/7740169/Hazard-coy-about-future thought he was going to La Liga not too long ago. it would suck if we were scouting him even though we already knew we couldn't seriously bid for him. but there is some hope in there...somewhere...
This seems to be the transfer pattern: Identify target. Decide if target is "good enough" If deemed good enough and available for single digit to low double digit transfer fee + low to mid/high 5 digit wages: Sign. If deemed good enough but too expensive transfer or wage wise, wait until other clubs start bidding before submitting inferior bid. If a player's wages are too expensive then why waste your time declaring interest and bidding? That time could be spent getting other targets. If the player's wages are too expensive yet you're willing to pay them anyway, why not try to sign them as early as humanly possible? I just don't understand what all the waiting is about.
Silva was joined for 175k a week. I figured he was a better comparable than a tevez or toure. City spend huge, no doubt, but only when the big boy competition for said player is there. I just don't see a real interest in hazard from the likes of the Spanish boys. Chelsea, perhaps, but even that would be a tremendous outlay even by the Russians standards for a potential, as opposed to star.
Another random name to throw out there: Takashi Usami Bayern fans, would do you make of him? As far as I can tell he hasn't signed permanently there yet.
