Might allow Rooney to go back to being the focal point and also force him to play kagawa more. Sure it's a big loss - but they have the depth to deal with it - at least I think so.

And they will be spending large in January anyway.

Not that losing one of the three or four best strikers in the Premier League isn't a huge loss, but Chicharito seems like a good fit for a Moyes team; he seems to only score scrappy goals that go in off a miskick, his hip, or the back of his head.

He was willing to play through niggles for ol red nose, but he isn't willing to push himself for Moyes (or Wenger as well).

Man City-Arsenal is fun so far, with goals from Aguero, Walcott, and Negredo. Still hoping for a draw.

Citeh just gone 2-1 up. Decent game, Negrado scored but missed a couple of easier chances.

Back in it. City giving Arsenal too much room, and bang Walcott strikes. 3-2.

Plenty of mistakes from Toure but City is a collective hot.

    So devastating going forward.
    Fernandinho with a cheeky 2nd.
Bendter has a good goal disallowed.

I bet Wilshere will not face sanctions for that finger at the children watching at home.

Announcer said it right - it's a tennis score. 6-3. Glad Toure got the penalty as I needed the fantasy points!

Kompany as man of the match on NBCSN? Did they forget that as a central defender allowing 3 goals is not good?

Against two central mid-fielders in Toure and Fernadinho, no less. Probably goes to show that it's the performance of the rest of the team as well as individuals.

Been saying it for about a month and a half that City are going to win the leauge, and IMO pretty easily. Arsenal doesn't have the sustaining power to stay on top.

Chamakh just scored a nasty back hell goal off a cross against Chelsea. Nice build up from CP.

City is crazy good. They made Arsenal look like school girls. This should halt the latter's momentum and hopefully keep them out of top spot by the end of the Christmas break.

But who is going to put down city if they keep playing like this?

I'd really like to have some of their players at Liverpool.

What is scary when watching these matches, is the quality and depth of those teams. We just don't have that. We've been relying season after season on just a few key players and supporting group.
That's the reason I didn't jump on the "We're going to win the league" bandwagon when we were having the best season start for years.
The second half of the season is going to be telling for us, we could get steamrollered as these teams with that depth get moving................and I'm an optimist.

All true, however all 4 English teams in the CL all through to the next round, and all but Arsenal are still in the League Cup as well. So despite their depth, they all have significantly more football to play than we do, so they might not have all that depth to spare in the League.
