Sublime play by Suazo for that 2nd goal. Just beautiful.

The true legends make epic plays in the big games. Suazo is truly something.

Have to agree, Suazo makes all the right decisions and routinely comes up big. I don't think Quintero had one right all game.

    Felicidades rayados.

The first goal is an assist by De Nigris, they are simply the best attacking duo in Mexico

Monterrey outclassed santos all over the field but when it comes to just flat out putting the ball in the back of the net Humberto Suazo never fails to amaze.

The second leg in Torreon is going to be a tough test for Rayados without Suazo.

Best team in the region, Ops Normal. Man, it's a long way until December. It would be interesting to see how La Pandilla would do in Libertadores.

Well, they had their chance in 2010, and unfortunately they blew it. It sucked.

But congrats to them. Hopefully they keep the team intact for December, and avoid locker room drama. I wonder if this CCL run will zap any energy away for the upcoming playoffs. The farthest a recent CCL Champ has gone in the playoffs was Pachuca in 2010, who made it to the semifinals where they got bounced by Toluca.

Mt gotta hunker down now and make the league Final if they wanna 3peat next year.

during that failed libertadores, it was vucetich's first time he handled 2 tournaments, la liga y la libertadores at the same time. vuce says he has learned from his experience with the champions league. so I definitely think he will be able to manage to compete in both tourneys with good results.

It was a great match last night. Credit to Santos for making it closer than I expected. But the better team did win :D Vucetich's record in finals is just phenomenal.
