I'm bored with this already. This isn't golf. It's a physical game and injuries happen every day. Whether accident or intentional, it's all part of the game... heat of battle stuff, ya know? Right, wrong, stupid, or brilliant... who cares? Not me. Play on.
The punishment should be harsh because there was a severe injury resulting from a bush league tackle, not because of the creativity of the injured player. The fact that it was a creative player in a league without very many of them makes it shittier for fans. I'm sure if the same thing happened to our best creative player, if we had one, you guys would be up in arms. Imagine, Mexico fans, if some dude from some crap team in the EPL, broke Chicharitos leg in the same way Mondaini broke Morales's leg. Would you have the same reaction?
IF my grandama had a bike, she would not need to walk to the store anymore! Seriously, all this what IF so and so player hurt your player and so on is bullshit. ANY player that goes in on a tackle like that SHOULD be suspended, but since in other occassions the player doesn't get injured, then nothing more than a yellow or red with the regular one game suspension is give. Mondaini injured Morales, accidentally in my opinion, and deserves a suspension for it. I also agree with Soyjimador, those tackles should be given suspensions whether or not the player gets hurt or whether the player is a Superstar or not. Now stop the what IFs and move on!!! MICHOACANO
pusnishment via suspension/fines leads to nothing more than a player who cant play and is fined money. preventative punishment (via making in-game rules to give consequences during games) works, but results in the game being punished. i dont think we want to end up with a weak league like that.
Talk about bs, I doubt the league would give a punishment like that to any other player and yet our player gets punished with a 4 game suspention plus a $1,250 fine. We don't have anyone who can replace him for those games either, if you guys know of anyone please spill.
REALLY ?? Mullan got more games and a bigger fine. Playing the victim card is in poor taste, IMO. Its a well deserved suspension. If you think about it he really only got 3 games he was going to miss the next game either way because of the RED
holy hell, do you have your head buried in the sand 99% of the time? google brian mullan and read up. 4 games was too low, it should have been 6 or 7 if not the same as mullans. the fine was probably based off of mondaini makes per year.
Settle down you're a bit on the emotional side. there have two other similar incidents that did not result in any suspension this season. The penalty fits the crime IMO was bad but not as bad as Mullans
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEThTBiNxrg"]YouTube - Real Salt Lake vs Seattle Sounders : RED CARD Jamison Olave‏[/ame] why the league no longer feels sorry for RSL...if they ever did.
for the record, and based on the reasoning behind RSL wanting mondaini suspended for a grip of time because of his recklessness, olave should be suspended.
We should move on. When RSL comes to town, we can remind them about the pot who called the kettle black. We need to get some wins!
That was a yellow card, not red worthy. And card or not card it doesn't mean RSL doesn't have class. It's classless to say we don't.
Brilliant, really..... just the pic, no names, no words. Brilliantly funny and cruel at the same time.
