All the Cam/Mitch bits were filled with gold. "I'll look forward to your frittata." "Oh, why? Are you visiting us in 2008?" "I'm a contractor." (surprised) "Hmm." (pause) "You thought I was a PE teacher?" "I figured.... here's a question: how do you keep the car seat on a motorcycle?" Plus, the whole bit with Gloria, Jay and the "burrito wrap" was awesome. I love how Gloria spiked the baby when she finished first and then Jay high-fived her after the teacher tried to say it wasn't a race.
I thought that was one of their best scenes together. They had great chemistry and you could really see what drew their characters together.
The scene where Phil pinches Haley's roommate thinking it was Claire, then asks Claire to show the girl's dad her butt to prove the honesty of his mistake was just too much.
Once a clown, always a clown. Freakin' Classic. Those two episodes were filled with pure classicness. Modern Family NEEDS and should be an hour long show.
I don't want hour long episodes. Those were two distinctly separate episodes and they worked. I don't want the writers to do something they don't know how to do or make an episode that can be two separate episodes in syndication. The show's style and writing works for 21 minutes. If it's made to be longer it will just drag on like hour long episodes of The Office. Some of those were tough to watch.
The Venn Diagram bit got me to fall off the couch. And when Cam was wearing that shirt at home, and walked over to the curtains...
That sort of silent, throw-away stuff is what really separates this show. Crazy funny. Killed. But > I'm gonna have to be that guy and whinge a tiny bit about stealing the bench sign gag from Arrested Development.
AD didn't originate that either. But I do agree the MF use was far too obvious. I saw it coming down the Lincoln Tunnel.
Looked at that picture for a good couple of minutes (and after watching the episode). Now I get it. Excellent.
I only got it during the episode when they started their "angel and devil whispering into Manny's ear" routine.
I'm barely paying attention to this episode. What's up with Ariel Winter's real life family situation? It sounds sad.
"Who are you to judge?" [pulls away cushion to reveal "judges" sign] Luke and Manny were cute as two little Bar Mitzvah crashers.
Sounds like a typically ********ed up child star family to me. I hope she turns out better than some of the other kids who have been in her position.
