    hey everyone,

Anyone here planning on making this trip that I don't already know about? We have a group of at least 30 going and waiting to hear back from many more.

Check out our road trip thread here:

Hope to see a bunch of you all down there. It only takes about 4 or 4.5 hours by car to the stadium and you can get back in the same night fairly early. Or just make a weekend of it.

Hurricane Irene is predicted to miss South Florida & should be near the Carolinas by Saturday evening. Come on down and help us celebrate Ft Lauderdale's 100th birthday....:D

The WC and the NHC site both say that Irene should miss Florida. There will be no impact on the west coast, so you will have a pleasant drive to Lockhart. We'll not get much more than heavy waves, rip currents an some erosion at the beach. Maybe a rainband or two might reach us. By Saturday evening the storm should be near the Carolinas and we should have a very pleasant evening for the game. Hope to see some of you then.....:)

Actually, the forecast for Saturday isn't all that great. There's a 30% chance of rain, the norm, but record breaking heat is part of the package. Mid to high 90s F with heat index around 105F. Be prepared to sweat while seated, let alone cheering...;)

The heat is nothing we aren't used to. 30% chance of rain is standard. Everyone pack a second set of clothes and a poncho.
