Are there not auto-subs this year?

No. They changed the rules so you have to watch the starting lineups on Saturday and make moves that day. Really stupid, but not a huge problem as I just downloaded the MLS matchday app for my phone which has worked never and it sends a notification of lineups usually about 45 minutes before kickoff. No surprise - no notifications from MLS matchday app this weekend including the one telling me Claudio Bieler is not starting. FML. Thanks a lot MLSsoccersoccersoccer.com

Doesn't bother me any. There are no auto subs in fantasy football, baseball or basketball. Each season you have a lot of people who give up and abandon their teams. One week last year I had a bad week against a team that clearly had not been managed in 15 weeks or so. Based on their starting lineup I still would have won. Auto subs, though, resulted in some big points for them and I lost. That was just stupid, I dislike auto subs for that reason.

Baseball you have to worry about this stuff daily, MLS it is 1-2 times per week. No big deal so long as you know those are the rules and are prepared for them.

I totally forgot to do my team for this, so I am likely not playing this year.

I don't like the no auto sub because if I have a team playing on Sunday and then they change lineup that day then I don't have options for replacements.

It is a big deal in MLS because there is very few reporters and even fewer insiders. You essentially have no idea who is starting and even worse, no idea who is even hurt.

I see a very frustrating year ahead. I guess i should have know the MLS part of MLS Fantasy soccer couldnt help itself from changing the rules all the time.

Twitter makes it relatively simple. The MLS Fantasy twitter account does a very good job of tweeting out injury reports and noting who is not going to play. For last minute changes, every team tweets out a starting lineup ahead of kickoff. MLS Fantasy retweeted all of those this past weekend. Along with this rule change, there is no absolute deadline for making changes to your team. You can make changes up to just before the kickoff for each game. MLS Fantasy has a pretty handy mobile website that makes it easy to make changes.

Thats fine except Sunday games. By that time all your subs have already played their games.

Dang. Javier Morales is listed as doubtful just today and I don't have any subs to replace him. lame.

I absolutely despise the lack of auto-subs this year. So damn stupid.

I despise the lack of money...I took the opposite approach than the Dynamo and blew a bunch of money on players only to have to fill the roster with a bunch of minimum budge t guys. I only had 8 players get minutes last week, although two of them should get regular minutes after last week. It's tough with only two transfers to overhaul your roster.

Ha, quoting my own post here, but it's almost comical how true this is!! Since that post I lost McNamara from Chivas from an ACL about a week and a half ago, Acosta from FCD for a fracture (6-12 weeks), Rico for concussion(?). Now, I just lost Diaz from FCD for a meniscus today, added him last weekend and haven't even been able to get any points off him. http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/02/report-fc-dallas-star-mauro-diaz-out-for-the-season/

When are the weeks with unlimited transfers? I already used my wildcard. It really helped, as I started picking up points and was having some 40-50 point weeks.

Yeah, I had to use my wild card this week because I lost Diaz and Rosales.

Dont forget about MLS fantasy this year. Bad news is they felt the need to mess with it again and the interface sucks. It is a click fest. It is like we are back to a basic HTML of the 2000s.

At least autosubs are back. I don't know why they keep making big changes though. Can't think of one that is good. I hate the change in price increases/decreases - based now on player performance relative to the average rather than demand for a player. I hope they brought the Cup back this year.
