. . . what a cool Wednesday night for an MLS fan - if you happen to live in the west that is. I can't imagine it's good news to have a whopping six games today, but none of them starting before 9 EDT. New York fans get to stay up until 1 a.m. to watch the entirety of their team's game. Ah, well - welcome to week 16 regardless!

All times EDT, and all games broadcast on MLS Live and Direct Kick unless otherwise noted.

    Wednesday 20 June
Los Angeles at Salt Lake, 9:00
    Toronto at Houston, 9:00
    San Jose at Colorado, 9:30
    Kansas City at Seattle, 10:00
    Montreal at Chivas USA, 10:30
    New York at Vancouver, 11:00

    Saturday 23 June
    New England at Toronto, 5:30
    Kansas City at Philadelphia, 7:00
    Houston at Montreal, 7:30
    Columbus at Chicago, 8:30
San Jose at Salt Lake, 9:00
Chivas USA at FC Dallas, 9:00, Galavision
    Vancouver at Los Angeles, 10:30

    Sunday 24 June
    Seattle at Portland, 5:00, ESPN
DC at New York, 7:00, NBCSN

Everyone plays at least once, and eleven teams play twice (Colorado is the only team playing Wednesday that does not also play on the weekend). Four teams which play Wednesday play weekend games against teams with the midweek off; only one team has two home games (Salt Lake) while two teams play both games on the road (San Jose and Kansas City).

As always, keep it friendly here in the neutral PBP thread.

A fair number of great matchups this week. Should be good.

How will Chivas USA twice disappoint me this week?

I am going to do what soccer fan does best and complain. Too many late starts for Wednesday's games. Earliest start time is 8pm which is fine for the weekend, but I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning. Where is my satisfaction? #worldshouldrevovlearoundme

It's a perfect Wednesday schedule for West Coast MLS fans. :D

Not only does KC have two road games, but they have play in cool Seattle tonight and fly cross country to warm and sweaty Philly for Saturday's game. If we survive this week with some additional points and no additional injuries, I will be a happy camper. Fortunately, this is our last trip to the west coast for the season.

Unless you are actually attending one of the games - then it's terrible as you can only watch one! ;)

Cool? Temps are supposed to be in the upper 60s at game time! Given our recent weather we'll be absolutely roasting :)

Compared to highs near 100 and mid-70's lows in KC this week, I would say you are lucky. ;)

    6 games on a Wednesday night? That's a lot!

Why in the world do none of them start before 9pm? All the games start at logical times for the individual hosting teams, but unless there's some obvious reason for not having any earlier or east coast games, this seems like kinda poor scheduling from MLS.

I would guess that having an early start on a work day is a tough sell for MLS. I like that the games are scheduled for the fans that attend, as opposed to those who might watch on TV. Direct Kick & record is usually the best option on days like this.

After last weekend's "Welcome back from the FIFA Break with 5? games all starting at the same time," and tonight's "Oh, what's that? You live in the Eastern Time Zone I'm Terribly Sorry" finger in the eye, I'm going to buy The Don a watch for Christmas.

Just saw on twitter that the RSL/LA start has been pushed back to 7:18pm MT, due to LA arriving 45 min late to the stadium.....wonder what happened to LA to make them that late?

That'll account for the late-arriving crowd - RSL FO announced a sell out this morning.

Once again, a busy night for the laptop. Since the squaw has the big screen (which would have been for the Copa Lib second leg) I have to watch Corinthians on the laptop:cautious: along with MLS Live

Also saw RSL fans on twitter complaining about the gates still being closed at 6:15pm local time, so that likely caused the late arriving crowd if you're inside the stadium

Looks like Toronto only has 4 guys on the bench; I guess they didn't fly any replacements out to Houston to fill in for the 3 guys who were arrested and then sent home.

By losing to Montreal 1-0 at home in the most boring MLS game of the year in front of a sub-10,000 crowd and then going on the road and losing to FCD, helping to snap their 10 game winless streak? ;)

Despite everything, watch them trample the Dynamo 3-1 for their first road win of the year. Only in MLS!!

Bruin with a couple of early chances and misses badly on both headers for Houston

Good grief - Houston could already have two. If TFC is this wide open in the back, this will be a loooong night (again) for them.

I read that there's 6 games tonight, yay! None start before 9? Boo. My team's game won't end until 1:00 AM? Bleep!
