MDL is a wonderful app. Nice sunny evening, out on my patio grilling a tri-tip, watching the game on my iPad.
We've lived here since MLS started, and for most of that time it was easier to attend/see Broadway-esque shows here than anything approximating MLS. San Jose was the closest MLS team, and none ever came particularly close (the RSL-Spokane Shadow game in 2005 hardly counts, and I was a fan of that Salt Lake team. Nice aside: I came into Joe Albi Stadium wearing my RSL gear - only person there amongst almost 2000 people - and was applauded by the Salt Lake players. That was the moment which cemented me as a long-time RSL fan though). But touring Boradway shows do come to Spokane, so there's a version of Broadway to which these kids get access. That plus the internet makes it less of a stretch than back in the day. Plus, most of them have been to a show on Boradway itself (my kids have), even if they won't have seen anything from a current season. And they all enjoy Neil Patrick Harris, so there's an added plus in watching a broadcast like this one. Too long an answer?
My mom just called me after discovering Bounce TV and Soul Train on during MLS Sleepy Sunday. My mom rarely calls me, but that is what she called me for.
I always end up missing part or all of the Sunday games. That's bad when the only game of the week is a Sunday game.
