This made me laugh, but I wonder if its sarcastic and you would really enjoy pigs flying out of your ass.
Damn. I'm used to talking about big fights in this thread. This is strange. No talk of the undercards, Pacquiao's antics, or Jessica Sanchez's big hair doing the national anthem.
I was watching the NBA game and didn't order the fight lol Sounds like there may have been some funny business with the scoring
I've never really understood why they do national anthems before sports events that do not involve national teams.
We get to see/hear the anthems today! Also better than Victoria Zarlenga even when her voice cracked a bit singing O Canada entirely in English.
I watched it online... I'm glad I didn't waste money on it. I could have stretched and scored it 117-111, but nowhere near 115-113 and especially not for Bradley. I was just glad I had something else to think about after Game 7. I'm all in for OKC and PG County's Kevin Durant. A Cascadian would say that.
Just saying - the other countries I've lived in don't do such things before their sports games. And it's 1-0 for the Cascadians
Really? You don't understand it? Every professional league in this country depends on stadium subsidies, tax breaks, anti-trust exceptions, and who knows what other favors from the federal, state, and local government. Why would they not want to remind everyone that patriotism is most of what they care about? Profits are just a minor consideration. At least we don't have to suffer through "God Bless America" halfway through the second half as in baseball.
I think that's a post-9/11 thing and I don't think every team does it or at least they don't do it for every game.
It's definitely a post- Sept 11 thing. My perceptions are it is mostly baseball, although doesn't the NFL do it at the start of games as well?
Vancouver looks really sharp so far. But, if you don't put the Dynamo away when you have them on the ropes, it usually comes back to bite you in the tookus.
Ismitje, groggily waking up from a nap, turns the game on yet asks himself "should I push to watch this game or keep sleeping?" Darren Mattocks says YES emphatically, and awake I was.
The Tonys are tape-delayed here in the PTZ. It means Mrs. Ismitje and I get to watch this game, and one of our daughters still gets to have her Tony Party with her friends tonight. The fact that I spent money for food so she could have a Tony Party is kind of confusing to me!
