Was anyone else amused by the halftime promotion at the all star game for the ultimate MLS fan? Turns out the three candidates were so popular with their own teams that the folks on Big Soccer are asking who they even are... Oh and don't worry Monty - we'll make sure you win the Revs team competition and get some camera time next year
I believe Jumbo's point was that the three guys that were picked, even the other fans of those same three teams didn't really know who they were. To me, I know about 5-10 die hard supporters of each of those three teams that should/could have been a better choice.
I have no idea to be honest. I don't pay attention to that type of crap. I was just stating what I thought Jason meant with the original post.
Just to clarify, I do not think membership in the Rev Army, Riders or big soccer boards is mutually exclusive with being a die-hard fan... however, I would think that a) there are better ways to recognize who is truly the ultimate fan and b) I'd be willing to bet the folks on the Revs boards would recognize other Revs fans who deserved such an honor. If nothing else, consider it another attempt to kick stupid meaningless promotions by MLS sponsors
