I just hope we dont take Welshman. Too many players that are better than him still available, whether its Zavaleta, Johnson, Lopez, or Bennett (who also has canadian residency btw)

I'd even take powers... more leadership qualities which lack on our team after frings and the back line. If we can have a vocal guy in the middle thaat can make a good pass and log quality minutes i'd go for him as well.

I'd take johnson, Lopez or Powers over Zavaletta... been following him since middle of mls season and never really caught my attention. But it sounds like were gonna trade down again

Now things are getting weird...seems we traded 10th pick to Seattle?

Edit: nope, still our pick, but Seattle called a time-out.....on us..

    ?????

Edit again: Turns out it's Seattle's pick. Probably for allocation (Payne can't get enough of it) and maybe Seattle's pick, which we'll probably trade again.

Well, looks like we're building allocation $ war chest by trading picks down - not a bad strategy if you have a player in mind you want to sign and need some cap room.

As long as they dont pull a mo johnson and only collect allocation so that you can overpay people and then have to disassemble the team once it runs out

I was gonna make a MoJo overpay joke, but couldn't word it right. Hopefully Payne et al don't make that mistake too.

No way Toronto moves down after this, the availability of players that fit are starting to get picked over. I think we select someone with this pick

this is so depressing. Not that they're bad trades, but getting excited about who's still available, only to have us drop back. At least it keeps it interesting

one other comment is that maybe were stock piling this allocation so we can pick up the lopez not currently in the draft....

SKC just unveiled their new dark blue jersey and they finally have a sponsor. Hope they're still keeping the light blue as home kit

good pickup in Emery Welshman. Two Canadians probobly 400k in allocation and the two picks have played together and have chemestry already established

Not completely sold on it. I don't like how when they play Montreal, they have to wear dark blue and the Impact have to wear white. Either Montreal has to go with a darker blue in 2014, or SKC goes with a lighter blue.

Well, that's it. We picked Welshman, who can play on the wing and as striker (AND at right back apparently) I guess the goal was to get the two Canadians all along, and we've done that while getting three separate allocation gifts.

Home teams should always be able to wear their first kit at home, IMO. Third kit works when Impact are away to KC, but they should be forced to change when they're in Montreal.

Please let Montreal get stuck playing in hot pink again, and regularly. I would be soooooo happy.

I meant a third kit for KC. I agree with you that home teams should always wear their main kit.
