I love running around twitter both during the season and during the off-season. I figured this would be a good place to start a list of hashtags used for MLS stuff. This is in progress and if you have any to add, say so. General: #MLS (obvious but you also get home buying stuff...) #USOC (Open Cup related) #Extratime (Simon Borg Haters and others, its used to comment on the Extratime radio podcast that MLS does) #MLSDraft (good for any draft really) Team Specific: (in progress) #CF97 (Chicago fire since 97) #ChivasUSA (Chivas of course) #Rapids (Colorado Rapids...much like Chivas, kinda boring) #Crew96 (Columbus since 96) #DCU (DC United... might soon be #BCU ) #FCDallas or #FCD (again, obvious but it works.) (Couldn't find a Houston tag... let me know if there is one) #LAGalaxy (Derp) #IMFC (Impact De Montreal aka "Impact FC") #Revs (NE Revolution) #NYRB (NY Red Bulls) #DOOP (like you need to ask, it's the Union) #RSL (Real Salt Lake) (San Jose doesn't appear to have one after 1 minute of looking.) #ebfg (Seattle aka "Eternal Blue, Forever Green.") #RCTID (Portland aka "Rose City Till I Die) #SportingKC (Sporting Kansas City) #TFC or #TorontoFC (herp) #WhitecapsFC (Vancouver) National Teams: #USMNT (US Men's National Team) #CMNT (Canadaian Men's National Team also, funny enough the "Cascadia Men's National Team") People to follow for team specific news and comments: Seattle: @GrittyCitySndr (Tacoma based Sounder fan and avid news reader) @FakeAdrianH (Funny guy posting as GM Adrian Hanauer.) @Pain_Machine (Jeff Parke's Dog... honestly worth following @ZombieJaqua (Similar to Fake AH) @SeattleFutbol (News and a few comments) @ecssecurity (Security side of ECS, good for traveling fans) @AaronCampeau (Podcaster and blogger) @ProstSoccer (Blog covering Cascadian teams) @NosAudietis (Sounders Podcast, great stuff) @Winner_MLS (Seattle Beat write for MLS) @LevesquesStache (Humor and comment) @JeremiahOshan (Podcaster and blogger) @sounderatheart (Sounder Blog, super good) @joshuamayers (Sounders Beat writer for Seattle Times) @WeAreECS (Emerald City Supporters official Twitter account) @arlowhite (Sounders Announcer and Foxes fan)
Yeah I'm aware they have a twitter account but they don't use a shortened hashtag. They seem to use #SJEarthquakes which I judge to be too long for a hashtag.
No, No, guys. I'm giving hashtags. It's a different thing. One would hope we could all find Official twitter accounts without much help.
heh, the handles part was for interesting bloggers/podcasters/commenters that would be beyond just the official word of the team. @ArloWhite is a great example.
