Y'all talkin' SJ title, Troy Dayek soN!
Redneck soccer. Neck surgery didn't stop the man.
Loved that guy. There are a few of us Rednecks that played the game. Clint Mathis being the best of our way of being. Keg-a-rator, 5 goals hung on Dallas, wonderstrikes vs. Korea and all!

Quakes are 7 of 12 I think - not as good but not bad. And if you consider that Houston is part of the Quakes lineage (a distinct franchise in terms of records but the "child" of San Jose in a hierarchical sense :--)), then they are a combined 18 of 26.

How 'bout an all-cowboy MLS team? They could wear the old Colorado Caribou kits.

Houston, 4th largest metropolitan market in USA, were eliminated in the playoffs by America's two largest markets with the richest payrolls and three superstar designated players each. Damn you, Garber.

Houston is not the 4th largest metropolitan market in the USA. It is the 4th largest city. But that's only if you count the population inside the city limits. It is only the 10th largest television market.

Ah the day of the Sounders annual close-only-counts-in-horseshoes-and-hand-grenades playoff game. Can't wait:unsure:

He's been a little off form these playoffs so far. Houston would've been knocked out in the play-in game. What's wrong Knave? Bring your "A" game.

At least they often get themselves into pressure situations in order to fail miserably.

Any word on Pontius, McDonald, DeRo or Saragosa?

I think that's the key for tonight.

Rumor is no to Pontius. Yes to McDonald and Saragosa. I haven't heard any rumors on DeRo. I think you have to start him (if you think he can go more than 30 minutes). If not, bring him on late and hope he can survive a whole 30 minute extra time if it gets to that.

When injuries to FOUR players are key for a game - well, that isn't a very good situation.

Only Calen Carr didn't make the trip for the Dynamo.

I predict same line up as last week.

So, is it a bad sign for somebody that I got a blown tire today before the games have even started?

(Off to Costco tire center to get it replaced, we'll see how long this takes...)
