I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can discuss general league wide news, but talk about how it affects the RBNY specifically or our perception of them. My first qualm is the news released today about the Chipotle partnership which I think is great news for the league. Its a good showcase of our young talent and can help introduce fans to young stars. This is a league wide deal, but they also have partner clubs (12/16 club US based clubs) but RBNY is not included among them. I'm kind of curious what incentive we have not to participate in this, and wonder if anyone can come up with a good reason.
worst owners in MLS...congrats to the Kraft Family and the New England Revs... http://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/article/2014/03/25/bob-kraft-worst-owner-new-england-revolution/
I was sad to move away from the Boston area many years ago. However, I'm not sad to have left the Revs. Red Bull/Metro fans think they've had it bad? Please. Being a revs fan is MISERABLE.
Yeah I went to their home opener last week and cannot wait to move back to NYC in May. They deserve better.
MLS new TV deal... http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/13/s...slots-for-games.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&_r=1
I smell a HUGE salary cap raise...or bigger rosters...or both. And if not the players should go on strike.
