This game will not end with 22 men on the field.

Hopefully it will end with all 22 walking off the field, together.

Duka belongs in the middle. Tchani belongs on a bench.

Most games don't. The referee is usually on the field as well.

Agreed. I think Duka played in the middle just once, but he looked great when he did. He has every single skill you need to be successful in the middle of the field, but for some reason RW insists on playing him on the wing.

Yes, but in Warzycha world, hardly anyone plays in their best spot, especially midfielders. To wit:

Ekpo: obviously should be a winger with his speed, poor first touch, and lack of decision making, and extreme one footed-ness. Warzycha world: lets put his as a DM, and watch him go through a whole season with 0 goals and 0 assists (maybe he got one). Furthermore, I won't pull him late in a meaningless last game of the year while he is on a yellow, and he gets a red and misses the playoff game, which we lose. Good management of Ekpo, Warzycha.

Duka. Great close control. Quick, but not fast. Good vision. Should be a CM/CAM. Robert plays him almost exclusively outside (though there have been some 4-5-1's with him as the CAM, but those were behind Mendoza, who couldn't win the ball. With all of our forwards current hurt, seems like a great time to let Dilly and Miro run the show inside and play 4-5-1 again, but you know he won't.

Tchani. Obviously a CM or DM (or a CB prospect). Yet Robert starts him as the CM/CAM in a playoff game after not playing all year, and then decides to make him a RW this year. Atrocious.

    Gotta love Warzycha world.

Look, if Bobby brings Duka into the middle for Danny or Milo and leaves Tchani on the wing, he deserves to be fired before the game even starts. The only thing that's working over the last 4 games is the central midfield.

Agreed. Barring fitness issues that could come up... I think a Duka/Mirosevic pairing is the best way to go in a vacuum, but Gaven/Duka/Mirosevic/O'Rourke is a better overall midfield. It gets Tchani off the field, and Duka is still pretty good out wide.

It would also have four midfielders who are versatile enough/comfortable enough to overlap each other's positions and fill any gap at any time.

If we had someone else to put in Tchani's place that could go 90, I'd say put him there and Duka in the middle. But right now, DD straight up for Tchani is the best move. And of course, this all assumes that Duka is actually fit, and that's a big assumption.
