Portland Timbers 0 Valencia 1 Attnd: 19,564 http://www.portlandtimbers.com/news/2012/05/recap-valencia-kick-us-tour-1-0-win-over-portland
Portland continues to impress with attendance. And 1-0 to a team that's headed to next year's Champions League? Not a bad showing.
Portland regularly plays games (even competitive ones) against teams going to next years Champions League. oh, you're talking about the UEFA CL. well, the CONCACAF CL is also a useful/relevant competition that needs to be mentioned every once in a while.
Hence, this: https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/concacaf-champions-league-coefficient.1187575/

After that game, ending the tour, the team will return to Spain and start your holiday template. Valencian Television said today, Emery would have left the tour to travel to Russia, where it could soon close its signing as coach of Spartak Moscow, which is complicated by the Valencia coach still return to the U.S. to lead the meeting Thursday. With the template remains the Valencia coach, Juan Carlos Carcedo, who would lead the team at the next meeting. From 1 July, the Argentine former player Mauricio Pellegrino Valencia is officially the team's coach, as announced by the Mestalla club a few days before the start of the tour.

That Galaxy - Madrid match has disaster written all over it. Hopefully Morinho is coming to just have his defense practice or something, to limit the score to 5 - 0 or so. Last year the Galaxy were really good, and Madrid sleepwalked to a 4 - 1 win.
if you're looking at overall results, there's no such thing as a "disaster" (scoreline) with a money-making exhibition match. this is business. the scoreboard results do not matter (relative to the business that is being conducted in these friendlies).
http://www.sportingkc.com/schedule It'll probably be removed soon, but currently on KC's schedule it lists Montpellier on July 24th. This goes along with what was on Ticket Master the other day when it had the game listed as well even though it's not been officially announced. If it's gone, see screen shot below.
July 8th - Santos Laguna vs. Leon - Home Depot Center, Carson, CA http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/soccer/post/_/id/17089/mexican-champs-coming-to-hdc
Well, we're all big fans of Aurelien Collin. Stoke City AND Montpelier. Woo! You can feel the excitement!
I''ve got no complaints about our Swansea City match, but I wouldn't mind seeing that pair of teams either.
Looks like Juventus may be opting not to do their planned summer visit to North America in 2012: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...als-and-video/2012/06/21/gJQAphpYsV_blog.html That might requiring some re-scheduling (with new participants) or cancellation of some WFC matches. Tough luck for SUM.
Not sure who they're going to find as replacements for games with less than a month lead time. But you can bet they'll probably be from Mexico and not be nearly as good as Juventus.
Good guesses. (although often with summer friendlies, the "quality" of a side is up for debate given who may not travel/play for these touring visitors and the large number of subs and non-regulars getting lots of friendly minutes.) Invite Santos Laguna to face Real Madrid and have Juve's other two scheduled friendly opponents apparently pair up. Montreal misses out on hosting a friendly, unless something else can be cobbled together on short notice. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...long-journey/2012/06/21/gJQAljIhtV_story.html
