99% agree with you on this one but for Jack Warner I would let it slide. That man is a disgrace to FIFA and Trinidad. He is truly a thief and we all KNOW it and it is truly a JOKE. :(

I also agree, wholesale changes need to be made to the players of MLS teams. The cap needs to go up. We need more DPs. We need a bigger bench.

Common Sense. We need to do well in CCL first. Build true MLS vs Mex rivalry first.
Good to hear MLS having Copa Lib in mind for the future.

However, when we consider entering into Copa Lib, I would like to send the two regular season winners, one from East and one from West.

MLS Cup winner should go to CCL anyways, and the two regular season winners are arguably the most strong and consistent teams, assuming that we get two direct spots.

By the way, I don't agree with this.

From a "soccer purist" point- probably not

From a how do we get MLS more well known and more popular in this country it's true.

The casual sports fan is a lot more likely to know who won last year's MLS cup than even who plays in, or what the CCL is.

However MLS is more focused on soccer fans in US/Canada rather than joe sixpack casual sports fan.

RSL won last years MLS Cup. So what? besides the hardcore RSL fans.

Say a MLS team wins CCL in current format beating Mexicans, MLS will get respect at least among soccer fans in Central/Northern America. And chance to appear in the CWC.

Well based on attendence between regular season MLS games, and playoff MLS gams and CCL games - I think the point has been made about what american fans care about.

how about we start beating team like Joe Public or a salvadorean team that hasn't scored in 5 games but gets three against Houston, then we can tart talking CLib. I don't want to be embarrassed in Bolivia.

We can't even compete in the CONCACAF Champions League... all FOUR semifinalists left are from the Mexican League.
