Sorry that's closed but the available away section is easily double "The Cauldrons" membership base so you should have no problems Dumbledore.
It's mildly creepy your obsession with people. You must really spend most of your life on the internet. I hardly think having friendly relations with another supporters group in a different division is a bad thing. I know it's foreign to you since most everyone just hates your groups. Anyway...continue on in your mom's basement in front of your computer.
Hehe. Here is a picture from the Portland Mercury of a prior city council appearance before he outed himself as a Chicago Fire operative. "I take the 5th."
So you have never followed a team that was not in your league before? Wow, you found a picture of TA that is also involved in politics. Next you'll find the lawyers and doctors that are in the TA as well.
The guy pictured above was paid for his political work: http://blogs.wweek.com/news/2009/09/01/bradbury-hires-soccer-booster-to-run-gubernatorial-campaign/ Those sly political consultants. Not aware of who is paying them. "I don't recall." - Ronald Reagan. And is "new media" code for "internet"? The other funny thing about this article is the first comment from our favorite web master.
You guys are ********ing stupid to claim Seattle is the only team with fans that travel. I would too to get out of that shit city.
So, Dirt McGirt, I guess you're a posing fraud for following two teams in two different leagues. Then again, everyone (except you, apparently) knows the condition of "posing fraud" suits you and your Seattle brethren quite well. You dumb sons of bitches make this so easy.
I always felt like the Chicago Fire fans were innocent victims in all this. I mean, it was Portland fans who were so antsy to have an excuse to get up to Qwest Field in order to cause trouble as they do every year. And what better way to do that then to disguise yourselves as another fan group? That way you can throw the other team's fans under the bus while getting away with your shenanigans. What I am surprised by is the way Chicago fans seem to always be there to defend their little babies. What gives, Chicago? Do you have a closet of OshKosh B'Gosh that you need to unload or something? Also, I don't see how rooting for teams in two separate leagues in two separate countries is the same as wearing the colors of another team in the same league. That would be like Sunderland fans wearing the colors of whatever EPL team is playing Newcastle, and traveling to St. James Park when Sunderland isn't even playing. Does any other MLS city have the same type of dysfunction that Portland has? Does any city in any league in the world have this type of dysfunction?
I don't think they get it. But it makes sense, considering they don't have any tradition of success, that they would latch on to something bigger and better in this country. As an individual who you support overseas is irrelevant. Even if ECS was linked to the Toon Ultras it's still not even close to representing another team in the US. Two shirt sponsors, wearing another team's colors and owned by the Paulson family and yet we're some how the corporate whores.
And their name is a blatant advertisement for their original owner's corporate and anti-environmental activities. http://www.endgame.org/lp.html There is more in that article about the company's legal troubles, polluting, and destruction of Redwoods. Timbers Army behavior is not too different than Glenn Beck or Sean Hannity trying to paint Obama as some kind of socialist dictator. When you are a loser, you deny your own flaws and make shit up about the winners.
They totally remind me of FoxNews. Just take some half truths, add some opinion, mix in a dash of crazy, and top it of with some irrational hate(this case civic pride) and you've got the Timbers Army message.
"all this" = Timbers Army LARPing as Chicago Fire fans And are you actually taking a victim posture regarding some supposed arrogance on our part? I don't even know what we are doing to hurt your feelings, bunge.
It's really not different though -- two different teams, two different leagues. Simple. If you don't understand it, you're stupid. If somehow time shifted and Portland was magically in MLS this year rather than two years from now, then you'd be right. But that isn't going to happen. As such you're just stupidly holding onto your stupid argument with both hands, and everyone else can tell but you and your similarly stupid friends.
