Well, according to Sounder jagoffs you don't Quote taken from blog of another Sounder jagoff David Cockass, don't click on it. What say you, Toronto, DC, Chicago fans?
I must've missed that huge Seattle supporters' section when the Sounders played in Frisco earlier this season. It's strange that the Seattle telecast didn't show them or talk about them or anything.
This thread was started by a Wizards supporter...a club that has such a sterling reputation for their travelling support. Broder, shouldn't you be sweeping off home plate at the ballpark or something? Go back to the dugout and let the big boys talk.
Speaking of telecast, El Jefer is currently involved in a police chase in the Dallas area. Possible suicide by cop looming?
And your post was made by a Krew supporter, who were created by Toronto fans and only showed up in numbers when their team was winning. And why are you recycling Tonka Gol lines? Is that who you consider a "big boy"?
Does the truth touch a nerve? You aren't even on our or any other team's level. Hell, even Rapid Colorado has more pull than you Dorothies.
FYP. The Krew fans were going to "respond in kind" to our big travelling numbers, and they couldn't even fill a single bus for the return leg.
You ********** need to show up in your own stadium first before you start worrying about away days. I love that Harry Potter's Army is worried about traveling seat availability. Here's a hint you for the under performing, softball stadium tenets named after a gay mythical magician. Your still irrelevant. You don't matter and consider yourselves lucky to even have a team. Traveling support give me a ********ing break. LMAO!
I could care less how many Wizards fans show up to games home or away. While our numbers are small we are loyal. We have suffered through the Wiz moniker and rainbow sleeved uniforms and we still show up. We didn't need a scarf promotion, or Microsoft money, or Toronto invading our stadium to show up. http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=12961432&postcount=16 All three of your points are now reversed.
I won't knock KC fans as I have always had their back. broder is a hater, though, so I'll just focus on him. This is an interesting response from GS to broder in another thread back in August: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=18456531
Neither did we: --------- November 13, 2007 (announcement of moving to MLS) In the next 6 weeks, with little to no marketing, 10,000 season ticket deposits are placed. January 1, 2008 http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/opinion/2004102027_soccer01.html "more than 10,000 season-ticket deposits have already been made." April 8, 2008 (announcement of name) http://www.usatoday.com/sports/soccer/mls/2008-04-08-seattle-teamname_N.htm "The Seattle MLS team already has deposits for nearly 14,000 season tickets." May 29, 2008 (revealing of jersey) http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sounders/2004444715_soundersfc29.html "Sounders FC has surpassed the 16,200 mark in sales of season-ticket deposits"
Keep digging Scooby Doo. Point 1 was true at the time. I didn't go to more then a handful of USL games so what? I'm a season ticket holder now bitch. Point 2 was based on the anticipated attendance, the use of Field Turf and my desire to see Memorial Stadium at Seattle Center developed into a SSS. Point 3 may be debatable but I've got you beat for sure. Handle your own business we'll handle ours.
Don't you wish you had the same problem? ECS particulary Kool Keith reached out to me via Big Soccer and invited me down to a couple of events. I was hooked after meeting some of the guys well before the first ball was kicked for MLS. ECS brought a lot of soccer supporters into the Sounders family and actively worked to increase membership. Meanwhile you're here complaining about Seattle away ticket distribution. ******** off hater.
Read the thread title dumbass, I'm not complaining about your away ticket distribution, I'm pointing out the asinine statement that "Except for Seattle fans, MLS fans don’t travel well" made by a Seattlelite.
According to a thread in the Seattle forum, it turns out it was one of the ticket reps in the Sounders front office who made the statement about traveling support. He's worked as a ticket rep in MLS before joining the Sounders. The fan liaison at the meeting included the statement in his notes pertaining to the request to have the upper level opened for away supporters. GS then published the notes that were passed on to him. You can read all the notes in the link you posted to start the thread. You can also read a comment from the fan liaison who passed the notes on.
Read my response: ********ing handle your own business we'll handle ours. Meanwhile get off your fat ass and start working on attracting new members into Harry Potter's Army rather then bitching about Seattle. Take some responsibility, like Keith and Fuzzy have, and build your brand in the stands. Maybe one day if you're lucky someone will complain about your success in bringing in new supporters. That comment came from a ticket agent who came from another MLS club. So what? Get your boys together and prove that person wrong.
I suppose this is more evidence that the Seattlego idiocy stretches beyond Big Soccer and into the front office, not that I ever doubted. I had to deal with some of the morans in the front office and they were pretty dense.
extraordinary stupidity, even by Wiz standards, or goofball attempt to be ironically funny? my money's on the former.
