    They did away with the draft. Why? The salaries are too strict. You cant have one expensive star on your team without having to select non-starters in other positions.

    WTF.

    I was able to get four stars on my team all the while having all starters other than two bench warmers.

    Jewsbury is a good fantasy player. Plays a lot with 7G & 8A last year - only $8.5. I wouldn't go with Shea because if Ferreira is coming back, he will take a bit from Shea, plus I think he will be gone on Int'l duty for some time.

    I don't like the Marco Pappa deal. you're paying $9.5 for 8G & 2A from last year. Drop him.

    I think I'll have to find a way to get Jewsbury on my team now. That's a good deal. Compare him to Eddie Gaven 5G & lowA for $8.5

    I agree about Jewsbury, and I'll consider the overprice of Pappa.

    Right now, Espn fantasy allows a little more flexibility, so I'll do both.

    I dont know why MLS doesn't do a draft anymore. Last year was cool.

    I need help on picking my captain for double points. Who would you pick? Le Toux, Hassli, DeRo, or Ferreira?

    Dero, but monitor all especially le toux since he was happy to be traded and will play his preferred position up top.

    Hey G-Boot, I did some research on this gaming platform and found out it is used for the EPL. So I did points per $$ ratio and found something that might help you compete better.

    Below are the top 5 in the EPL this season in each category. I calculated the total amount of $$ w/ total points and found the average $$ per player and their average points. Mind you, there is a big drop off after the top 7 or 8 in forwards. Van Persie is a beast.

    ----Total $ and points-------Avg. $$ -----------Avg points per dollar
    D = $32/536----------------- $6.4----------------- 16.75
    m= $46.9/708----------------- $9.4----------------- 15.09
    F = $54/790----------------- $10.8----------------- 14.62
    G = $29.2/559----------------- $ 5.84----------------- 19.14

    As you can tell the right goalie can get you the most bang for your buck, followed by Defenders, Mids, and finally Forwards (again, mind you, find the best striker for your captain b/c they score the most -- but then the drop off is huge after the top 7 or 8.)

    If you somehow win it all, let's split the prize. :)

    Thanks for the help.

    Here's some help from me. You said you had DF10.

    Assuming that's David Ferreira . . . he's not 100 percent yet.

    OUT: MF David Ferreira (R ankle)

    Rosales played well the other day but I won't make any transfers for Seattle players until they're out of CONCACAF...

    I'll check it out when I get home ENB. I created a spreadsheet with the same concept too and had Labrocca as one of my best midfielders; however he is no longer on my team.

    I didn't include clean sheets for defenders or the attacking defending bonuses so the stats are not a true representation.

    What do you guys think about Burch from Seattle? I saw he put up a good # last week but will he be playing a lot for the Sounders?

    And what about Estrada? Was that a fluke or will he -- or has he already -- usurped Eddie Johnsn?

    I think Estrada is a workhorse and makes very smart runs up top. That being said, Toronto was focusing all thier attention on Montero and giving Estrada loads of space, which teams obviously won't do anymore. The pessimistic side of me says he's a flash-in-a-pan and that EJ will be the main striker up top soon. Hope i'm wrong.

    I think you'll see alternating between Gonzalez and Burch at the left back spot, as the Sounders had been alternating different players there a lot last season.

    I also see where Espinoza is only 5.6 million. Seems like quite a good price for a good player who seems to play all game and is on a team that should win plenty of games.

    Yeah, I got Espinoza when he was at 5.5mil and I think it is only going to rise. If you don't have him yet, go get him.

    How's everyone's team looking thus far? I must say, with only 1 transfer, it is hard to find quality players that produce every day.

    True that. I always take the -4 points for doing an extra transfer. Two transfers a week would be better but it also forces the player to look ahead in the schedule and plan accordingly for bye-weeks and teams that may play two games in one week.

    The majority of my points have been from my defenders and goalie. Joe Cannon hasn't given up a goal yet and I have Demerit who scored a goal a couple weeks ago. Cannon is dirt cheap too. My choice at captain has been horrible though and i'm constantly shuffling around my forwards, none of whom seem to do well that week. It's a guessing game though, haha.
