Sporting Kansas City @SportingKC 3m Tonight's attendance: 20,306. That's the 40th straight @MLS sellout @SportingPark. Thank you, #SKCNation!
Disagree. As a 'Caps STH, I am happy with the current seating cap. When the 'Caps build their STH base a more, then they should consider upping the cap. Until then, maybe only consider it for 3 games/yr (SEA, LAG, POR.)
And can we go back to easier stats tables? IF you have to write whole paragraphs to explain your table, then it's probably not very effective.
Sure, If they kept the cap at 21k but expanded to 27k or more for 3 games, I wouldn't criticize. But the problem is that they are not that doing either. I can't imagine 3 expanded games would affect a STH's calculus, but that seems to be what the FO is saying.
Man, DC's attendance is awful. I feel bad for their SG's. Good people. Colorado kinda had an excuse with the bad weather.
I cannot figure out why Vancouver blocks off some of the seats in the lower bowl - especially for games against LA, Seattle, Portland, Toronto... Nonetheless, the Caps attendance seems stronger this year (though I don't want to digress into the perceived attendance thing).
Dallas - Toronto = 17,406 (Found the data mentioned in the match report article) Dallas has done so well since they moved it closer to downtown!
If you have a problem with it, you can always ignore stat tables which have a paragraph of explanation for those who wish to know how it was calculated. It's as easy as scrolling past them. In baseball, some of the most applicable and descriptive statistics have long academic papers written about them. Just because you have no desire to understand the basis behind tables doesn't mean other people don't have that desire.
Could you please do the basic table, similar to what we have in the past, and then do whatever advanced stats that you wish?
Me, I hate them. Still, aperfectring's point applies. You like them, so you read on; I don't, so I skip them and STFU afterwards. Why Ghost had to start this discussion is beyond me.
If you had bothered to read the first post, you would have realized that edwardgr was out of town, and wasn't going to be posting his normal tables until late, if at all. He created this thread so that we could discuss the attendance as we usually do. In my case, that's providing these additional tables. I do not currently have the ability to recreate his tables, nor do I have the desire to attempt to. Next week, the thread should return to normal.
The problem with volunteer work is others carp, others complain if it's not done immediately, or their way, but don't want to volunteer for themselves. To volunteer for publicly displayed work is to assume putting on a suit of armor is a good idea. I commend edwardgr for his excellent work. I also commend him for taking time out from this volunteer effort to enjoy family friends and other adventures of real life. Thank you, edwardgr!
With the exception that everyone in Colorado was prepared for rainy weather. That's not very Chivas-like.
Like Dallas has moved to Dallas? Thunderstorms + Avs playoff game + Easter/420. We could have done better than we did by another 1, maybe 2K but any more than that would have been shocking. Now 3 weeks ago against KC, that number should be the reason people are ranting. No excuse for that one.
Okay so a little later than anticipated but here is a snapshot of the week 6 information that I did not post. this is mostly for Fuzzx as I believe he bases his tables off mine.
