My thoughts exactly. I figured they would contact everyone eventually to discuss it

I was bummed these were boring dot-matrixy printed tickets. Was hoping for something more souvenir-ish like the original artwork of the season 1 SKC season tickets.

Does anyone know if there are events going on prior to the ASG that make it worthwhile to take a vacation day? I was hoping there'd be some fan build up. But if this is just roll up at 6PM like a normal game with some inflatables...meh.

Hell, I'd even settle for a viewing of the confiscated Roma supporters cutlery.

    +2. In the mailbox yesterday.

FWIW, I've come around on AS Roma as opponent. At first I was kind of meh, but after watching Michael Bradley in the last round of WCQ's I'm looking forward to seeing him in person. And while I know Robb was probably joking when he said this is all about recruiting Bradley to SKC, no harm in getting him here twice this summer for some exposure. And I think it was BuzzK who mentioned Totti and DeRossi. Totti has always been entertaining, and I plan to lustily boo DeRossi for his hatchet job in Brian McBride in 2006.

Given that we play NYRB Aug. 3, anyone here wondering whether PV may be tempted to overplay Henry in this one. I remember some strong words about Omar Bravo's extended play time, from Robb I think(?), during the ASG in New York, with Sporting playing the RBs only a few days later.

It would be funny if Vermes played Henry in a box-to-box midfielder role and kept him in the full 90.

As tongue in cheek as that comment is, it segues nicely into a valid discussion: what kind of formation is Vermes going to throw out there? Is he going to try to force a 4-3-3 with players that have never played with each other or is he going to just put out the best 11 and see where the cards fall?

He's going to play a 433, force the ball wide, bring all defenders up, cross the ball in, then scramble to recover when the other teams goes on a counter. Why even ask this question? ;)

So apparently there will be a few events around town for the All-Star mostly in the P&L District. There will be a 5k on Sunday and some concerts on monday and tuesday. I am hoping they are free. They've created a page on the mls website. (http://www.mlssoccer.com/all-star/2013). Thinking of registering to the 5k and wear my SKC jersey.

Speaking of events, anyone know how I can get a couple Silversun Pickups tickets since I live out in Lawrence? Tough to make it to KC to pick some up.

There is a line after each in the MC to get them... one single free ticket for each person who gives up an email address... or just listen to the 96.5 The BUZZ... listen longer

which turned out to be the "Fan X" until player XI is unveiled this week.

And if I understand this correctly, even these guys are not assured of a starting spot?

They're not even guaranteed a spot in the match day 18. They'll be in the 30 man all star roster at least.

Parking passes for this one? Emailed or printed and mailed? I missed that detail somewhere.
