I agree but to be clear they named the content and distribution group MLS+ the show will be called MLS Insider for anyone that searches for it.
They better not make me join MLS+ to go along with my MLS Live subscription. I don't want to use my real name for my MLS Live user name. //continues to ignore all facts read here and in article
you might want to alert the NHL of that issue. They continue to crank out excellent numbers on NBCSN.
Why do you people not understand how to put someone on ignore? Westside Cosmo literally does nothing but troll every thread he's in.
Do you dispute the ratings data? Some of their paid commercial programming gets higher ratings than their sports programming.
I still remember the look on my dad's face when I once asked him what NBA team Ahmad Rashad also played on. My dad is still probably disappointed in me for asking him that. The man was even on Hang Time. Of course I would think he also played basketball. Excuse to post this...
"Major League Soccer is going down the route of ESPN's 30 for 30 and NFL Films by investing big money in a new content and distribution group called MLS+," I wonder if some of the money is funded from the partial sale of SUM?

Is anything really changing other than there being more outlets for distribution and a rebranding to coincide with that?
I'm personally very excited to see it and very excited to see NBCSN treat the league as more big time than any of the previous TV partners have. Kudos to everyone involved. Not going to worry about the channel its on, ratings, the name, or the content for that matter. I'm just going to enjoy finally being able to turn on the tube and watch MLS programming.
This brings up an interesting point. Is this a time buy on MLS+ part, revenue sharing or did NBC pay some sort of tiny rights fee for this new material? (This question assumes this new content was not a part of the 3 year NBC contract but it may have been)
This is great MLS 36 and MLS Insider make a nice one two punch, but MLS 36 comes out too randomly for my taste. When it does come out however it is quality. What I hope MLS+ does is that it produces a quality weekly MLS review show with excerpts from the games plus a look at the week ahead with pundits talking in the studio and giving their opinions. There hasnt been a quality soccer "pundits show" on american tv since American Soccer went off the air. Fox Football Fone-In was entertaining but it focused way too much on Euro soccer for my taste.
Still waiting for a weekly (eventually daily) MLS highlight/news show like "NFL Live", "NBA Live" or Baseball Tonight". I can't believe MLS still neglect the importance of a highlight show
