With a new owner, they probably wanted to get their own people in there anyway, but this fiasco with the TV deal where most fans couldn't watch them, probably made it happen quicker.

Harrison Shipp is on the early Rookie of the Year list. Back to back matches with assists and he's been creating a bunch of chances. Chicago up 1-0 early on DC.

Nogueira scored for Philly off a nice McInerney assist. Up 1-0 on Montreal.

More help today with DC, Chicago, Philly and Montreal all drawing. Benny and Zusi ripped apart Colorado to steal a late win. Houston getting handled by Vancouver.

And more yesterday, with the Jersey Bulls held to a last gasp home tie with mighty Chivas.

How Olave managed to escape that game without numerous cards is worthy of a congressional inquiry. He came flying in, elbow first, right to the back of the neck of a Chivan and got no more than the proverbial "stern talking to". And, golden boy, Henry, makes a vicious slide tackle from a blind angle (similar to the one that broke Sene's ankle), totally misses the ball, but gets all ankle. I don't think he even got the "talking to".

Nasty game (Olave smartly realizing that he was unburdened by the ref), with Chivas doing their share of diving, but mostly being beaten and pummeled.

Clinical finisher Henry missed bags of easy chances.

Yah, probably should have been more than 1 PK in the game. Also, I'm not sure if anyone else caught this game on Univision, but Hristo Stoichkov was doing color which was amazing

I don't think Chivas are as bad as they are "supposed to be," but still, good to larf at the Crimson Cows.

Stoitchkov on Univision? I know he speaks Spanish from his time in Spain, but do you mean "amazingly good" or "amazingly bad?"

Objectively bad, but good like a train wreak, he's got a pretty thick accent that to me, makes his Spanish sound like Arabic. During the broadcast there was a lot of awkward periods of science that the color guy should probably have been filling in, but its Stoitchkov!!!

Chris Rolfe traded to DCU for allocation money. Not sure why anyone would want his salary, but whatever.

With Shipp, Joya and Amarikwa looking solid early, Rolfe had little value in Chicago.

A chunk of @ChrisRolfe17's salary will remain on Chicago's books. He earned $225K base last year. About same this year.

BTW, for those who made the connection to the Revs, that SKC also has 3 open roster slots: that situation lasted all of 24 hours.

Sporting KC signs midfielder Victor Munoz

Vermes: “What we liked about him was that the style of play that he played over in Spain is something that definitely fits in with the way that we play."

LOL - Imagining Barcelona racking fouls like SKC. Barcelona in their derby vs Espanyol committed 8 fouls. A little different from the 25 that SKC racked up on MLS opening day.

nonetheless, looks like a good pickup by SKC other than the fact that DCU cut him loose. I wonder what that was about.

Right. A professional team will want to rectify that mistake quickly.

Wow. The "more" would have to be quite a bit more I'd think.

Interesting. I don't rate Wenger at all. Not sure who Philly plans to start now, Casey?

Skc sign Igor Juliao, 19 yr old left back, starts for Fluminense and plays for Brazil's u20 team. One year loan, I assume there's an option to buy.

    Sigh.

I believe he's a RB. Looks like a very promising prospect.
