    Headlines for MLS presidents:

    Canetti: Soccer Night in Newton.
    Quinn: Beat his wife.

Wow, Dallas just....sucks. I should put this in that thread.

Yeah I wouldn't want to make any donations in his name, just PR the hell out of the fundraising effort and make a symbolic Happy Gilmore big check presentation the weekend of the match. Don't even need a functioning overarching Dynamo Supporters' 501(c)(3). Could just collect donations directly for the charity a la Brickwall and the Wounded Warrior Foundatoin.

AND WE'VE FOUND THE PERFECT RECIPIENT!

Stoke is apparently making an offer for Brek Shea.

I thought that he was signed until 2015 with FCD. He isn't happy and there are grating issues between the parties, so a big money move makes sense at this point.

And NYRB finally announces that they're hiring Mike Petke as head coach. Go figure.

Shucks. I was hoping to see another failed courting of some Euro without a clue. Now NY has a chance of actually being good

Seriously. They may have stumbled into a good hiring decision, despite themselves.

Congrats to Mike "Crime of the Century" Petke! He will have a tough go of it the first year but I have confidence in him. Best Coach with no HC experience still out there? Little Dick Williams, bar none. I hope Ritchie gets his chance.

While we're on the topic of southern Oklahoma, they have managed to pick up Kenny Cooper and Eric Hassili. I refuse to give them credit, but those are 2 serious goal scorers.

Good for Dallas. Maybe they'll be worth hating this year.

That would be awesome if they were successful as well at least for a year or two that way our rivalry would be well worth it. Right now its like the Big brother beating up his little brother!!

Cooper was a nice player in his previous incarnation as an Oklahoman. But he is a couple of years older, and wasn't anywhere nearly as successful with his last few clubs. Hassli is good, but I have faith in FCD's ability to suck the life out of him. They are so good at doing that!

I also wish that we could beat them twice in a season instead of just once!

    Is that a lot?

Guess I wasn't paying much attention to Kenny. I obviously didn't check his stats before my previous post. And I would never have guessed he had scored so many. I don't remember seeing his name in stats leaders columns etc. I really gotta stop smokin that crack!

Lol....yeah a lot. Other than Wondo going crazy Cooper would have easily won the boot. :)

Dallas is going to be a problem if their defense gels

I watched Portland v SJ last night, and have to say the Timbers look much better then they did. Ryan Johnson is really going to help them this season.

Soto is training with Chivas. Which begs the question, with the Chivas paying teams to take veteran players to free up spots for mexican/mexican american players, why couldnt we have gotten something for him?
