I'm assuming the Scorpions are the ones offering the Stars and Moon.

It's a short statement, but I read it to mean that a city in Texas was offering a really sweet relocation deal to Vergara to entice him to move his team. For example, SA could be offering a sweetheart deal to play at the Alamodome. I'm not saying that's the case - just that it's the sort of example I thought of when I read the statement. I'm not sure that he meant that anyone was offering to buy the team from him, although I can see that being possible, too.

That's so surprising because FC Dallas can't beat anyone

First Hope is attacked by her fiance and now this d-bag? I guess it would be in bad taste to take a banner to Robertson North next year saying 'In Texas, We Treat Our Women Right!' Or something?

NYRB cuts 10 including Gunnar-Solli and Colorado dumps 7 including Marshall, Casey, and Edu. Anyone think Dom's interested in anyone out of the pile?

Goff reports that Kevin Payne is leaving DCU and joining the FO of another MLS team in the next few days.

I'm glad he's at least staying in MLS. There are a few clubs out there who could probably benefit from his experience. Just speculation on my part - but it seems somewhat reasonable that FCD could well be in the market for a new FO honcho.

Well, looks like Payne is going to TFC. They could use him.

According to reports in Brazil, Juninho Pernambucano, who's 37, has an offer in hand from NYRB.

He may also go to Vasco da Gama, but he's reportedly only looking at these clubs.

There are all sorts of reports out about DCU trying to sign Luis Fabiano. The reports I've seen in the Brazilian press say that DCU has offered a contract that pays him about the same that he now earns at São Paulo, but the clubs aren't close to agreement about a transfer fee.
