Mack got the seniors and "Hispanic" vote. Vets split. 37% for Mac and 36% for Romney, according to Fox.
Re: Mitt Romney for President - The Leader We Need Mitt Romney is planning several large western advertisement buys... ROMNEY PLANS MAJOR AD BUYS IN CALIFORNIA, OTHER SUPER TUESDAY STATES FOXNews.com Thursday, January 31, 2008 Let's hope Romney goes Rambo on McCain; especially during the Superbowl ads. Background here and here could be used in a brief illustrative campaign advertisement. Then end with this: "Governor Romney's strong experience in turning around businesses, the Olympics, and a deficit state of Massachussetts into a surplus state is what the GOP needs and what America needs. Romney's real-life experience in moving Bain Capital and the state of Massachusetts to success make him the leader we need." Now is the time!
Re: Mitt Romney for President - The Leader We Need McCain gets closer to locking up the nomination every day, such as getting the Governator's endorsement today. You should prepare to hold your nose while voting.
Re: Mitt Romney for President - The Leader We Need ITN, do you support an increase in federal spending? Because your boy Mitt does.
2/3rds of the money Romney got for the last quarter of fundraising came from... Romney. At least he has something. All the Republican candidates did awfully, except for "Soon to buy a tropical island" Paul.
Maine Caucus: ROMNEY AHEAD! Maine Republicans Pack Caucuses Feb 2 01:13 PM US/Eastern By GLENN ADAMS Associated Press Writer http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8UIB6S81&show_article=1&catnum=0 AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Mitt Romney took an early lead in presidential preference voting by Maine Republicans as the first returns were counted Saturday from the party's municipal caucuses, which GOP officials said were heavily attended across the state.

Good to see the people of Maine supporting the doubling of Guantanamo! I wonder how many of them will wind up there.
I wouldn't count him out yet. He has a lot of money, and he's spending it. Plus, he's grown as a candidate. He is stronger now with his speeches and on the debates than he was even a month ago. And, he's basically taylored his message to appeal to the base. It will be interesting to see what happpens.
You ought to tell it to the people that are buying McCain futures at 91.5% at realclearpolitics. Barring something unexpected, it looks your man McCain will be the nominee.
I hope so, but trust me, I'm not buying yet, and much less at 91.5 percent. This primaries have been anything but predictable.
That's true, but up until now, despite having many advantages, Romney simply hasn't been able to close the deal with GOP voters. I don't know if I'm any indicator, but every time I look at him I see a total phony, mouthing focus-group-tested junk his people tell him will resonate and it doesn't, at least with me. Themes like "Washington is broken" just come across as hollow rhetoric. When I see him giving a speech, I want to see something else very quickly. Nearly as quickly as Hillary and dubya. I'd make Romney's odds very bad now.
Just because it appears that the fringe supports Romney, it doesn't mean that Romney is himself part of that fringe. He has support among many Republicans who are not extremists, not just the Coulters and Limbaughs. Part of my problem with him is that he seems to have discovered his positions just in time to run for president, but his trajectory as a governor is very different from his present rethoric. I think McCain appears to be the favorite to get the nomination at this point, but it's clearly not a done deal. We all need to participate in the process and pick the candidate who we consider best qualified to lead the country, and the process will play itself out.
