I guess the GOP did know a thing or two - I thought they were fighting so hard to make it harder for blacks to vote for future elections, but it was for Now.

 

And they failed. Miserably. If anything, they mobilized minority groups while demobilizing poor white voters, hurting their cause. Wish we could run counterfactuals...
