Anyone arrived at Madrid Barajas from overseas flights, and needed to make a transfer to Barcelona; what was the minimum time need to clear customs/immigration in order to make connecting flight to Barcelona? 1:30 hr sufficient? Else I'd have a 6hr layover to make the next flight to Barcelona. Also, is it easy to get to the Real Madrid training site from Barajas? Are they always open for public viewing? Thanks.
90 minutes is fine as going through customs in Barajas is nothing like coming back to the US and going through customs. You may have to haul some ass to get to the gate of your next flight (with your luggage) but you should make it with no problem. Just make sure you check your outbound flight to ascertain what is the on-time percentage of that flight. Barajas to the Bernabeu can be reached via metro in about 30 minutes via line 8 and 10. Their practices tend to be open but are not held at the Bernabeu but in the city of Valdebebas which is a suburb, and if you can't get there visiting the Bernabeu is still worth the effort and the price. QDog it's true there is a lot of history in that stadium and trophy room! Unlike Betis where there is a lot of history in that stadium but the trophy room which is under lock and key and can only be accessed if you know someone who has a key is not too interesting and as of late I would imagine has been gathering lots of dust! Great, thanks for the info! I plan to head over to Ciudad Real Madrid since Valdebebas is very close to the airport, and watch them practice.
