MIX, you know Tahoe is COLD this time of year, right? http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USCA0584 Ok, so not crazy cold this week but the weather may change markedly. Remember the famous Donner Family story where settlers set out from Sutter's Fort in Sacramento (Capitol of California) and froze to death, forcing them to eat each other. However you will get a feeling for how enormous our country is if you travel down 395 which borders California and Nevada, where you'll be like Frodo just poking your head into the beginnings of a beautiful mountain range with the flat desert expanse of Nevada on the other side. It may already be closed for the winter but highway 89 connecting Tahoe to 395 for example is quite spectacular. Or you could pretend to be German and go hang out in whitie-tighties in Death Valley. Anyways, watching Leverkusen.
I almost forgot Mix was a professional athlete. I've come to think of him as a fast food entrepreneur with great hair who is willing to answer our many questions.
Doesn't both sides of his family live in Arizona? He probably knows how vast the West is (though there are probably some East Coasters that don't know as well)
I have no doubt that Mix: 1. Is familiar with the geography of the western U.S. 2. As a Norwegian, will not likely be deterred by the "cold" weather of Lake Tahoe, and 3. Meant to refer to Socrates, the late great Brazilian playmaker, whose game had some resemblance to Mix's.
Great player. From that Generation, I preferred Rivelino. The FIRST guy to do the Elastico... not ronaldinho! Maradona's Idol, because he's a lefty too "For me, if Pele went one way (when on the field together with Rivelino) and Rivelino went the other... I followed Rivelino"
Not sure where to post this... I guess this is as good a place as anyway. Vienna Kurier today reported that Rapid contacted Mix about a transfer, but he appears to have better options elsewhere. Quote by Rapid manager Peter Schöttel: "Diskerud would be very interesting, but he seems to have better options. We can only hope." Intriguing to be posting this in a thread that Mix replies to!
Did that this summer- drove from SF up to Yosemite, stayed at the Ahwahnee for a night and then drove Tioga Road all the way through the park and down to pick up 395 near Lake Mono. Then up to visit relatives in Truckee. You are right- it's a great drive. My advice- let the wife drive through the park. There are a lot of sharp turns with near-sheer cliffs on the outside. Best decision I ever made was to make my wife drive that day- didn't have to listen to her tell me to slow down all day long.
Probably not even necessary, as we just played Rosenborg twice in the Europa League and Rapid got a good look at him.
True but he's really careful with his words. He doesn't usually comment on things until well after the fact.
Well in that case let me point out that Vienna is a great place to live and work (number 1 in the world according the Mercer Management quality of life ranking!), Rapid has great fans and... well that's probably about it. Mull it over, Mix! Not really. About the same, I'd say. Rosenborg's era of perennial Champions League appearances appears to be over.
I stand corrected, the Austrian Bundesliga has a higher UEFA coefficient than Norway. After thinking about it, I do think league-wise they're about equal.
And by the looks of his Twitter it looks like Mix and some friends are going "all-in" out in Vegas/Grand Canyon. Nice little post-season vacation to relax and worry about nothing. I popped my Vegas cherry a few short weeks ago, here's to hoping Mix had more luck than I did.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/the-world’s-best-places-to-live-153612169.html Vienna voted worlds best city to live in by HR consulting firm Mercer.
