The Midnight Riders are forming a Tifo Committee.

The goals of this committee are as follows:
-Organize and coordinate large scale displays of tifo at Revolution home games and the occasional away match.
-Create cost effective ways to create and execute these displays
-Develop a more organized and unified voice in the Fort.
-Increase the collective visibility and voice of support at Revolution matches.

For far too long we've been an unorganized mess. We have great fans and great supporters. Our problem is we're not organized very well if at all during matches. We often have several chants going at once in just a single section. We consolidate tifo displays to a very small section of a section. We need to change this and improve things throughout the Fort.

I am looking for people who are interested in working together to develop ideas and eventually implement them at matches. We have to build this committee from scratch. There are no real formal rules or anything on how to do this. Our time is limited. We're going to have to act quickly.

If you are interested in this committee please email me.

I do not want this thread to turn into a bitching session about security or how things suck at Foxboro. We get it. You don't like the status-quo. Well here is our chance, as a group, to change things.

    Thank you.

Mods could this be a sticky?

I know the idea of getting more streamers at games has been bandied about. If this committee will be looking to buy a ton of streamers cheap at wholesale, I'd pitch in.

However, this would require storage issues. I can't help there.

Garrett, would my idea of getting National flags fall under this committee's umbrella? I'd think it would.

As I said in my first post please email me if you're interested in this committee. We need to develop a plan and membership.

I've received only two emails...come on guys. Here is our chance to change things at Foxboro. Let's make this happen. Its gonna take more than three people.

Are we gonna try to change things at Foxboro this year or are just gonna continue to bitch & moan, "Our atmosphere sucks! Management sucks!"

Don't be like people that don't vote and that bitch about taxes or the war.

Got off your ass, organize and do something about it!

C'mon people, lend Garrett a hand. It would be nice to see some additional displays of support in The Fort for 2008, and Garrett worked tirelessly last season to get things done, especially when it came to the flag issue.

Hopefully he and Monty can talk to Brian Biello about this and other things that can get done in The Fort, as it would be nice to see if the Revolution truly are interested in doing more for adult fans as they've gone on record saying.

It's fun, it doesn't take too much time, so lend him a hand. Get involved...

Any ideas about a countdown for Twellman's 100th goal. I was thinking something along the lines of having velcro numbers with 100 actually painted on the banner so if Twellman scores his 100th goal, he can run over and rip off the blank and the two 9's.

You can watch the highlights and see it. From what I remember it was dark blue with a Times New Roman-esque font that says "The Fort" and it had the Riders and Rev Army logo on it. Simple, but very classy.

    Just throwing this out there.

Obviously, a lot of the more traditional displays (flags, smoke bombs, flares, etc) are out. So, trying to think outside the box a little...

What about balloons? Long, thin, blue and red balloons. Hundreds of them.

    They're cheap.

They can't be used as weapons. (...so security can't shoot it down)

    They're colorful.

    They show up on TV.

They could potentially be distracting towards opposing players (...OK, it's a stretch)

Something like this or like this.

Too outside the box, huh? OK, I'll stop.
