Thanks so much to everyone that made our first annual golf tournament such a great success! This year we've done what no other supporters group in MLS has ever been able to do...and in the process support two great causes and of that we should be very proud! I'm sure many of you got to speak with the Holmstroms at the post game tailgate but most of you didn't get the chance to speak with David's wife Kerry Tatlock. Let me tell you how touched she was that we did this in David's memory! She also told me how moved David's mom was..and that she was so sorry she couldn't be here in person to thank us all...

We planned and executed our first charity golf tournament in just a couple months and raised $10,000...When we hold the second annual Midnight Riders Golf Classic in the fall of 2008 we will have had many more months to plan and prepare the tournament and we will have learned from the mistakes we made this year!!

We have set the bar at $10k for our golf tournament...an excellent number, to start! Next year we raise the bar!

    Thanks again!!:D

Seconded, thirded and fourthded (I'm just making up words now). :D

Amy said it best ... the work that was put in, the money and time that was donated ... damn, the Riders should be friggin' proud.

I received over $300 yesterday, which easily puts us over $10,000. I was also told by a few people that they're planning on bringing checks on Sunday, so we'll increase that number again!

A sincere, heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and made this a success.

As Fuzzy Miss would say ... Cheers!

Has anyone posted pictures of Carrie's incredible skill with a soccer ball at the tailgate? That was inspiring. I'm sure that the smile on her face will be there for weeks!

I'm glad that I got to show her how to "Khano Smith" a shot ;)

In all honesty, it reflects poorly on all of us, when a few remain seated! Especially in the front row! I was able to get a few people to stand the entire time you guys were on the field, and screamed to everyone to stand up. haha.

But, if you want to be that person, and be the jerk of the group...be my guest, just remember that when your hurt, or sick or someone close to you dies...that you sat through this presentation, and if they had seen you sitting, how it would have hurt so much to see such disrespect....ugh.

I agree ENTIRELY with Spazz and Garrett. And you should be ashamed!

    Hello Riders!!

Hey wait, according to Monty we are now Riders as well :D

I want to once again thank a great group of people for what you have done for our #18 - Carrie. The fund that we created for Carrie is for her future and thanks to all of you, that future looks brighter all the time. After going through the last 15 months, seeing her literally beat death, to where she is today is truly a "life changing experience". Money has less meaning to me now than it did before. Now it is simply a necessity to keep a roof over my family's head and secure their future. We have not yet and do not anticipate using any of her fund money for our use.

As far as future fundraisers and next year's golf? I have told Monty and Mike this, but know that the Holmstrom Family "Honorary" Midnight Riders will be there. And Mike told me to keep the pass to your lot. Carrie had so much fun the other night you'll see her there again. She's even talking about a bus trip.

Many of you are there already, but I once again invite you to her CarePage. There are pictures from the other night in my updates. Simply go to carepages.com and the name of her page is CarrieBear just as I show it, one word, Caps on the C & B.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for taking Carrie into your hearts.

    Love to you all,

Mike - better known as Carrie's Dad
