I agree, we need to bring as many people as possible to the games. There is no reason not to have great attendance at every game.

For me personally money is tight so no I won't be going to PR. If it was within driving distance then it would be a true derby and we would definitely be there.

Thats to bad maybe next year. A true Derby is made by the fans of both teams not the distance between them. Even if Miami isnt really our main rival in the league, it seem to be some interest in fans of both teams to see them play. Miami vs PR games have been very popular games here and in Miami as well. After last years Zinho debacle I cant wait to see what you guys do this year in PR :)

I've got some useful info on an Ultras trip, while unlikely, but I think it's relevant. I don't remember what thread, but I saw somewhere on here somebody was kicking around the idea of a Sons of Ben style trip to a MLS match.

For a trip to a MLS game I think D.C. is a great fit. I was recently up there and the location of the stadium and ease of public transport would really make it the easiest place to go. We could find an afternoon game on the schedule, then hop on the cheapest, early A.M. flight into Reagan National. The subway there is connected right to the airport and we could take it right to RFK for like 4 bucks. If we're in way early we could just check out D.C. for a few hours, it's a great place to just walk around and look at stuff(at least during the daytime lol). Then just hop back on the metro after the game and fly home. Personally I'm graduating this June and will be making a job transition so I'm not sure If I would be able to go, both time wise and financially, but I would love to do something like this if I could. Heck I'd like to go to a D.C. game just for fun, but if it could stir up support for a team of our own all the better right? The round trip flight would probably be in the $200-$250 range, and figure in the game tickets/other expenses and we're probably looking at $300 a person.

I know it's sort of farfetched since it's so far away, but imagine the impact it would have if people from Miami traveled to Washington D.C. screaming and chanting for a team, even if only like 5 of us could make it. SoB got the job done by going to D.C. and NY. They got a blurb in Sports Illustrated for that, imagine the exposure if we pulled something like this off? Something to think about, especially if that June deadline set by Miami and the Marlins is extended.

Miami FC is on the War Path

This Sunday Miami FC will face its greatest opponent yet in 2008. The Montreal Impact, a dominating force in the USL, will play the Blues in a friendly match. Last year Miami FC did not get a victory in the three times they played Montreal and are eager to take The Impact by storm on Sunday and give them a taste of things to come this season. Miami's fast, strong and talented young team is not the same group of players Montreal could handle last year and we're sure to see some shocked faces this weekend.

The Miami Ultras will be out in full force for this game supporting their team as we face our first strong opponent this year. As Miami FC put it The Ultras are the "12th player on the team" and we will play a vital role in Miami FC's victories this year. Sunday is the day we make our stand and send a message to other teams in the USL. Miami FC, with its new players and fan support, is unstoppable at home.
