Most of the times popular culture gets things wrong, in the case of Nirvana, they got it right...but even then most people know one or two songs by Nirvana...smells like teen spirit and lithium and and an unplugged song or something....Kurt Cobain was a melodic genius...shitty guitar player but a melodic genius with scores of catchy pop-punk songs....Nirvana weren't grunge, they were post punk and pop melody with an edge...
