I apparently follow 6 people, not exactly sure why. Two of them send bus tickets.

Let me know when you find someone that sends train rides. Been decades since I last rode one.

Philly is well served by Amtrak. Maybe RDL can send you one. You'd probably have to get to the east coast first though.

Continuing on the "it sucks getting old" theme, I tore my ACL last weekend...out of commish for a couple of months at least...then I get surgery....then I'm out of commish for a couple of more months. Pain is the worst...can't walk and have to rely on everyone else for everything...it's really humbling.

damn man, I know exactly how u feel. I had acl reconstruction surgery and it sucks. 6 months till u can fully play soccer again after the surgery.

I recommend that you go with the cadaver ligament if you go that route. easier time to recover.

time the surgery to your advantage, I tore my acl in 2009 and I had the surgery during the 2010 world cup. :D

Absolutely...when you have this surgery they can either harvest an existing tendon (hamstring or patellar tendon) or go the cadaver route...with a cadaver ligament you don't have the extra healing time that you would when they tear into your patellar tendon or hamstring (for obvious reasons). i had my left ACL tear on me before and they went the patellar tendon route and the recovery time and pain was brutal.

All kidding aside, is there an argument to not use female cadavar ligaments because of their prevalence for tearing ACLs?

The risk is this, not tearing.

Yea, I tore my left ACL and Meniscus 12 years ago and it's a tad arthritic, but the range of motion is still there thankfully. I think my futbol playing days are done...after this I'm sticking to Yoga and low impact sports like surfing....that's it.
