    this

it's fine if the guy is a Spanish nut rider, but to talk shit about Mexican soccer is very unprofessional. especially since Picante is based in Mexico and focuses mainly on Mexican soccer.

True, but to me Jose Ramon as whatever he is exists as a Mexican entity....In spain hes a nobody.

That's why i cringe every time i see how hard he tries to force himself into their culture on that level via his hateful slandering and disassociation with all that is Mexican.

It's like me.....i follow the Mexican NT and and have grandparents from there, but thats that. i dont sit here like an idiot trying to act as if i have an idea what the hell im talking about on shit within the culture that i honestly have no dealings with or have to legitimately integrated into Mexican culture to understand.

Its like on los capitanes.....do you listen when they talk about football or basketball....im like no no no...literally the most clueless and generic opinions ever that gravitate around superficial stats and the current standings...it's like you're just aren't part of that realm so stop.

I remember hearing one of the ESPN guys (i think it was Murrieta). Saying that they saw Martin Ainstien and Jose Ramon crying when Spain won the WC. Eye witness only, no cameras i believe.

I don't agree with you at all. If you don't care to be integrated on Mexico that on you and only you, doesn't mean others have to be measured by that stick. If he didn't talk shit constantly about Mexico, I wouldn't have a problem with his spaniardness. But he ,like many Spaniards and Spaniards wannabe, talk shit about Mexico constantly and can't stop comparing and praising Spain constantly.

Unacceptable, we'd probably have to win a WC for him to say some positive stuff about the MNT, wait... no he would probably say how Spain's WC win was more memorable/legit and we got lucky or something...
It's only because of Spain's recent success. If Spain never won the 08 Euro nor the WC or even got to close to winning them and kept their decent-team-but-nothing-special-and-usually-choke status do you think the wannabes and snobs would be bashing us and praising them? ;)

Maybe you misunderstood...im not saying that i dont care, but just the simple fact that i am elsewhere and everything from here is so engrained into me, there is no way i could possibly even begin think i my knowledge or opinions can hold a candle to those who have experienced the culture on another level.

Jose Ramon on the other hand seems to think otherwise......I mean unless i missed something this guy has been in Mexico forever and his career is mexico based, he's old as shit so i know in his youth he didn't have have that premium cable package to watch his beloved madrid and was following pumas.

So i dont get how he can possibly disassociate himself like that when this guy is a mexican.

He's been nutriding on Spain for a while. It was pathetic how Los Protagonistas or Azteca would talk so much about Spain whenever they played in the world cup because of him. And the Spanish thing is more prevalent now but it isn't new.

Well Real Madrid games were covered in Mexico for a while now especially when Hugo played.

I do think you could associate with Spain before although it's easier now. And like I said I don't question his Spanishness or think it's not valid. He can even love Spain and hate Mexico but it's the constantly telling people in TV how great Spain is and how much Mexico sucks, which I hate. He should go to Spain like his son and try to do it there if he loves it so much and thinks Mexico is such crap.

Agree, tho Hugo Gonzalez did tried to retract from his comments but still not cool, and probably the worst is Hugo Rodriguez there mostrando todo el cobre.

Aren't they allowed to express personal opinions? Isn't that what a lot of people around here think of Liborio and Rodriguez and express pretty vehemently on this board???

Really now? So they're only being criticized because they are from America? You don't think they did anything wrong? Hugo Rodriguez started 12 games for Atlas last season.

The stupidity on this board is shocking at times.

Do you know where this controversy originated from? RECORD!

If you are informed on how Gonzalez was booted of the team you would understand him what Carlos did is just back up his teamate.. But who are we kidding you probably dont know that because its America..

My question of how many games Rodriguez played in is a fail.. I thought it was another goalkeeper..
