Its pretty easy to tell that without Gio-Guardado-Barrera Mexico can't attack. Gio proved his worth once again. Barrera just proved he is king of the right wing. Guardado still need some work but miles ahead of who ever subbed him. I don't watch Mexican primera much so I'm not familiar with the names but all the forwards and mf that played in the second half were bad.
It shouldn't be too surprising to see (E. Hernandez, Hobbit, and Reyna) struggle together. Aside from a handful of practices, they've never played together as a unit. Unless it's a total asswhooping by halftime vs Grenada/Guadeloupe later on in the GC, it's probably a safe bet to assume that this group won't be out there together during the tournament. It's a friendly match to improve team chemistry, it shouldn't be looked at as anything more.
Hobbit was the only one that proved (at least to me) that he should be in El Tri but it was only one game so we'll see.......Gio can wear the #10
That little guy was all over the pitch last night...to bad he couldn't get the last touch in. I expect Sundays line up to be the same as yesterdays 1st half line up with Chich taking De Nigris place.
What I saw and it may be the wrong wording.... Lack of understanding of the play...I saw Gio make a few runs into space with no passes from players with the ball who were defended or were trying to make personal gains(nigris....) On SKY network they showed a few screen shots of Gio after said runs....all of them were a pissed off; angry look. I know they havent played alot together but I really think there has to be another high quality euro player in place of nigris(cheech or even vela) I cant see hobbit playing a starting position for el tri I give him credit, though ----------------------------------------------------- overall its a friendly and mexico won...good 1st half
