cant spell Mexico without dope, haha

Anyways, about the game, I am really really happy that Gio got 2

We all figured that Cheech would get his, but sometimes, I feel like Gio is so busy making plays for everyone else that he never gets a chance at the net.

Oh and Torrado, GTFO, how many times have his terrible passes in the middle or our defensive third caused a breakaway chance or gol?

Great game overall, I wasnt expecting 2x 5-0

    but its nice.

torrado was bad, he needs to just defend and recover, cuz when he starts the attack, sometimes he jacks things up.

yep... he gives good long balls at times, I dont understand how he cant pass it short with touch, its always a bullet, dude needs to get faster and be a defender

He got toasted at least once that I saw....against better teams, that would have been a goal. I think Swag said it best...we have to put more than a few on the board because better teams will put some on the board against us.

Cuba is so weak! We should have scored many more! CONCAcrap is what keeps our team a notch lower than the argies and brasileiros.

The only teams that are better than the two we've played so far are Costa Rica and the US.

I was a little surprised that Costa Rica nearly lost yesterday.

I'm not comfortable with Rafa back there either. It's bad enough we've got Torrado hanging the defenders out there with their pants down at least once or twice a game and now the guy that is supposed to have his back is slower than molasses too?

    Fuck!

Hopefully the guys can continue scoring like they have because that has been beyond enjoyable to watch. How many times have we entered this tournament with predictions against the minnows in the range of 3-0 to 5-0 only to eek out 1-0 or 2-1 victories and in some cases even 0-0 draws.

We're finally doing what we're supposed to be doing with these kinds of teams and that's refreshing.

I still don't know about talavera, nearly fumbled one easy shot.
Tough to tell vs the opposition we faced so far.

yeah, i was kind of nervous with Talavera there on goal. there were 2 plays where he looked out of place and one in which he nearly gave the ball away but luckily recovered it in time.

if Ochoa is not back for Sunday's game, i'd give Orozco a shot against Costa Rica

and i'd like to see Zavala as well. Torrado has been sucking it up

i'm really starting to like De Nigris coming in as a second half sub. that's already twice where he comes in and scores right away. he definately helps out in opening up the attack.

I would love to see Orozco play for El tri as a rayados fan..... but the fact that he hasnt had that experience before kinda scares me. Ochoa had his fumbles before but wearing the green wasnt a new concept for him. Going forward with two decent keepers who have very little international experience (or maybe none at all I'm not sure) is kinda stressful.

I'm cool with Talavera, unlike ********ing conejo Perez he is tall, and better than ********ing conejo, so just give him games so he can be comfortable out there. I don't think he will but if chepo rotates them he wont let neither settle down.

    cosign.

I have zero issues with the keeper being talavera for the gold cup considering the rivals were gonna have -_-....the few chances they had he showed up...

now conejo tho...that was something else....

I'm not comfortable with either Talavera or Orozco, TBH. The only Mexican keepers I'm comfortable with are Michel, Ochoa, and Corona.

I prefer Orozco over talavera unless Talavera gets comfy and confident then makes good saves vs Ticos this sunday.

When do we find out if vela can be a replacement

    Vela can't be a replacement.

If CONCACAF even allows us to bring in replacements, they would be from the U22 squad.

    Jona?
    Oribe?
    Michel?
    Araujo?

I think they are only going to allow Osorio to be replaced.

They would most likely be Mier, Rafa Marquez Lugo, Marco Fabian/Edgar Pacheco, Liborio Sanchez and Paul Aguilar.

Don't forget the U22 have preparation games and the coaching staff won't want to decimate that squad only to bring bench player for the Gold Cup.

I'm only nervous because he bounces back the ball a lot.... if only corona had a level head we would basically be suffering only one major loss in maza smh....
