we'll see on thursday I guess, the aztecs got shutdown for an entire half by a pretty mediocre and undersized El Salvador side.

The bunker can only work for so long.

I originally predicted 5-0, but it seems so far I have seriously overestimated the ability of the weaker teams, so this will be at least an 8-0 victory, double digits with some defections.

we don't even know what kind of team Mexico will field.

What's the point of winning 8-0 or 10-0? It gives you a false sense of skill and achievement. Score early, try to score when they are bunkered and fresh, that's the only test here, avoid getting hurt and get the 3 points. I have a feeling CRC won't steamroll El Salvador.

Cubans were dropping like flies at the end of the CRC game, so of course we should be able to score in the 2nd, not the point here I don't think. The US we know won't tire.

bang on. Mexico need to just get a couple of early goals and then focus on their next opponents. Have a nice, easy game by putting it away as early as possible.

Chicharito confirmed for record book goal scoring performance, followed by media out pours on ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes and every other Mexican sports channel about how god status he is.

Yup, I've seen this movie before, it's the one where Honduras gets outplayed by a young Guatemala team and their press keeps telling their fans how they are still the best team in the region even after their performance at the World Cup last summer.

You want a ham sandwich with that glass of envy?

Why are we even talking about this game? Lets not bash on each other. The early goals will come for Mexico against Cuba. And lets wait till Honduras faces Jamaica to criticize them in this tournament.

You're absolute right. Honduras has a good team but I'm not sure Suarez is a fit for the NT.

Ramon Nunez shouldn't be coming off the bench, IMO.

As far as Mexico vs Cuba, let's see how the first half unfolds before we rejoice in another lop sided game. I don't think Cuba or ES will fold for either Mexico or CR but at the same time, I don't know how long they can hold out under pressure.

If this were baseball Mexico would get their butts kicked.

Since it is futbol I expect Cuba to be in very deep trouble.

Now with all of this word about doping and players being kicked off the team I don't know if Mexico's head or heart will be in this one. Talk about a distraction.

They should still win though but it may take a bad half for them to get going like the El Salvador match.

They tested all the players a couple weeks back, they don't have the results from the younger teams yet, they will have them this week, seriously inform your self before you start with your semi-literate laughs.

If you gave up on the tournament already because you could not beat Guate, why don't you join the Nats already?

All kidding aside, I had high hopes for you guys, I argued that you were #3 in the region and all, and honestly I was dissapointed (sorry, not making fun or being a jack). I argued with Canadians how you guys were much better than them, do you still think so?

I've been telling people "I have semi tickets for the MEX-CRC and the USA-HON doubleheader... not so sure now.

    thoughts?
