Is it just me, I didn't see the offside on the Colombia "goal" that was called back.

    Did I miss something?

Yep - one Colombian player was in offsides position, but he never touched the ball.

The Mexican defense looks like they want to score - for Colombia. Twice a defender (think it might be the same one, not sure) has kicked the ball back toward the goal, and both times it was only a foot or so from going into the goal.

Colombia seems to want it more early on, really fighting for loose balls in the midfield.

Did the Mexican player that went off after the collision with the keeper come back on?

As I type this, Colombia scores another goal that is called back by offside, this one looked like a good call (but barely)

that early offside goal was ridiculous..... It really should have been a goal.... Silly linesman ...

I'm still awaiting the complaints from Mexican fans about the absurdity of waiving off the goal and how calls always go against them..... oh, right! :)

for as tightly as this is being called, at least the ref is managing to prevent anyone's legs from being broken. this game is turning into a hackfest

what a blast from colombia... nice shot... thought it went in

How Sibrian still gets reffing assignments is beyond me. I have never seen him come close to being even competant. He's a horror.

Same here! I thought I saw Columbia score, and it's still nil-nil, what's up with that? (too bad it's in Spanish/my Spanish isn't better)

    Halftime 0-0.

Mexico is very lucky they are not down by a couple of goals. The first offsides call was a bad call, should have been a goal. Then Salcido (Mexican defender) comes close to scoring twice for Colombia. And then that last shot at the end, had the keeper totally out of the goal, and the shot is blocked by the defender.

I thought the second offsides call was correct, it's not if any part of the body is still "onsides", it is the center of the body of the forward that must be behind the center of the body of the defender.

yep, second OS call was correct.... Funny Univision won't show the first erroneous OS call..And Ramirez only dares say that "he had doubts about it" If he does so much, why not bother to show the replay that proves this was the case.... UNless i need glasses, there is no doubt a legitimate goal was scored by Colombia... and there was an angle to prove it.... shown while the game was in progress....

And Ramirez goes on to say how Colombia were incapable of scoring....All i gotta say is bless our refs... they truly blow....

That 1st goal was legit, I hope this Sibrian is not typical of Concacaf refs, such incompetence.
And what about that yellow card to Tressor? the mexican player commits the foul and the yellow card goes to the colombian.
