Any one have more info on this? http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/news/story?id=1463063&s=mundial&type=story will it be US sub-23? Who does tena have to choose from?
This better not be that game in el azteca..... If they go full squad theyre gonna try to pull that "we finally won there" bullshit.....
Yes, it will be US u23. The only thing that could possibly bother me about this game is that it falls on a FIFA date. I hope they don't call Jona to this game over the senior team game against Colombia the same day just because he will probably be going to the olympics.
Why would they call jonathon dos santos to the sub 23 to play against the usa if he isn't going to be their during qualifying, it should be domestic players only, since they are the ones that are going to be playing the tournament. Y Para que se acomplen.
You do know the US sub 23 has already beaten Mexico in Mexico. They beat us 2-1 in the olympic qualifiers for the 1992 games in Estadio Azul. And they also beat us in a friendly 3-1 prior to the 2004 Olympic qualiers in the Tres de Marzo (though we beat them 4-0 and qualified to the olympics when the official competition started).
This is a good squad we're using, anyone know if the nad jrs. are bringing anyone worth mentioning? I heard Freddy Adu was gonna be there, not sure though.
Question (wasn't sure where to ask), will Mexico have Gio for Olympic qualifying? I don't follow the EPL, but from what I heard, he hasn't been all that involved with Tottenham. Will they consider releasing him? To answer your question, if we field our full U23, you could see these guys Alredo Morales (Berlin) Danny Williams (Hoffenheim) Joseph Gyau (Hoffenheim) Timmy Chandler (Nurnburg) Josh Gatt (Molde) Mix (Gent) Tony Taylor (Atlético CP) Terrence Boyd (Dortmund) Altidore (AZ) However most of them have significant roles with their respective clubs. If Mexico fields a mostly domestic lineup, then chances are we will as well, with the exception of Mix who has a U23 release clause with Gent.
calmate carnal, he's just pointing out the fact that they will likely not be able to count on some of their european based players, like us.
Relax, I didn't say "D team" or "C- team" or any of that horseshit Everyone knows that both these teams, and Canada to a lesser extent, will be fielding watered down teams in the qualifying tournament. Will this friendly will reflect that? I would venture to guess, yes, but I really don't know.
I know you are. It's nice to see Chepo isn't as stubborn as some would like to think. Tena should take note and change up his tactics when they are obviously not working out.
