Ive never rated Cubo, at all.

He came into the U20 WC in Colombia with talks of him moving to Inter and other clubs in Europe only to be absolute crap in the tournament. Granted he was 18 at the time but his touch and play were awful.

And it seems as if the coaching staff of the branches of the NT agrees, he wasnt called for the Toulon tournament, or the U20 WC - i dont think he was even on the preliminary squads lists. And now with Chivas as hes being sent to MLS for PT since hes not in their plans either.

If he doesn't tare MLS a new one i dont see why or how he should be considered for any spot on the NT.

The U20 WC came at the worst possible time for Cubo. That was probably the worst stretch of his young career. But even then he was one of the players on that squad with the most 1st team appearances

Also, lets not forget that some time earlier he was in the discussion for a call up with the senior NT. I know i wanted to see him there. Maybe because success came so early for him that we just expected him to blow up right away without going through bad stretches.

He's still way young so dismissing him just because he got sent to the mls is pretty dumb. A stint in mls did great things for Omar Bravo so lets hope thats the case here

he was supposed to be the answer to our midfield "problems" in the olympics according to some spazzo journo, dude is just a random Mexican guy that went to a small college in the US and made his way to the MLS. Good for him but meh for us.

according to the note above Baca plasy as midifleder. I watched Villarreal during the U20 qualifiers and seems he plays as Forward, tell me if i'm wrong.

Ya Villarreal plays ST/SS & CAM. He played on the wing mostly in the u20 WC but he's not that good there. Farfan is mainly a attacking mid but can play on the wings and CM. Scored this golazo against Real Madrid a lil while back. He's just a lil inconsistent. I think he's good enough for Cruz Azul but we'll see.

watching the last 15 minutes MLS game Chivas USA vs Chicago, OMG

Have you seen some match in Copa MX?

Hilarious one narrator asking if El Cubo deserves a NT call up just beacause a goal :D
